• Healing Crystals Program to Go. On<br />

Oct. 18, teens and adults are welcome to<br />

pick up a bag containing healing crystals<br />

lot of Grace Community Church in South Solon from 3 to 3:30 p.m.<br />

and the parking lot of Sedalia Christian Church from 3:45 to 4:15<br />

p.m. The dates are Oct. 15, Oct. 19, Nov. 2 and Nov. 16.<br />

• Storytime. 10:30 a.m. on Mondays. The program is open to<br />

children ages 3-5.<br />

• Friends of the Library. The volunteer group will meet at 6:30<br />

p.m. Oct. 11. New members are welcome.<br />

• Library Board of Trustees. The board will meet at 6:15 p.m.<br />

Oct. 13 immediately following the Mount Sterling Community Museum<br />

Raven,” “The Bells” and more. This show is appropriate for ages 8<br />

and older. No registration is required. This program will take place<br />

Wax in 3D. Enjoy a<br />

special screening of<br />

“House of Wax” in 3D at 7 p.m. Oct. 12. No registration is required.<br />

• Haunted Library. From 8 to 9:30 p.m. Oct. 21, walk the grounds<br />

of the library in search of ghosts and ghoul. Peek in the windows<br />

for haunting sights. No registration required. The library building<br />

HAWKINS<br />

Bobby Ray Hawkins, 83, of London died<br />

on Sept. 28, <strong>2022</strong>, in his residence surrounded<br />

by his loving family. Born on Jan.<br />

28, 1939, in McCarr, Ky., he was a son of<br />

Ray and Lula (Whaley) Hawkins.<br />

Bobby served his country as a corporal in<br />

the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam<br />

War. He went on to work professionally for<br />

the City of London Water Department.<br />

Bobby was a strong man of faith and attended<br />

Newport Church of Christ in Christian<br />

Union. In his spare time, he enjoyed<br />

bowling, golfing, fishing, and working on<br />

cars. Bobby also had a love for music, playing<br />

his guitar and singing.<br />

He is survived by: his beloved wife of 58<br />

years, Norma (Toops) Hawkins; daughters,<br />

Lisa Jean Hawkins and Deborah Harris;<br />

grandchildren, Forrest Harris and Asher<br />

Harris; brothers, Tom (Mabel) Hawkins,<br />

Roy Hawkins, Bill (Diane) Hawkins, Donnie<br />

(Terri) Hawkins; sister-in-law, Alene<br />

Hawkins; brother-in-law, Herman Owens;<br />

many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Bobby<br />

was preceded in death by: his parents, Ray<br />

and Lula; brothers, Harold (Margaret)<br />

Hawkins and Larry Hawkins; sisters, Marie<br />

(Paul) Dowler and Claris Jean Owens.<br />

Public services were not observed in accordance<br />

with Bobby’s wishes. Memorial donations<br />

in Bobby’s name may be directed to:<br />

STEWART<br />

Donald Eugene Stewart, Jr., 67, of London<br />

died on Oct. 1, <strong>2022</strong>, in his residence.<br />

Born on Dec. 22, 1954, in Columbus, he was<br />

a son of Juanita (Snyder) and Donald Eugene<br />

Stewart Sr.<br />

Donald retired from Orient Correctional<br />

as a corrections officer. He loved listening to<br />

music, especially Elvis, watching Gunsmoke<br />

and McDonald’s cheeseburgers!<br />

Survivors include: his daughters, Teresa<br />

Stewart (Tony Marcum) and Tammie<br />

(Kevin) Roberts; grandchildren, Bryanna<br />

Roberts (fiancée Brad Fink), Kortney (Andy)<br />

Findlay, Kayleen (Kensie) Wiant, Austin<br />

Stewart, Donald (Lizzie) Eugene Stewart<br />

IV, Rush Stewart, Heaven Stewart and<br />

John Stewart; four great-grandchildren;<br />

twin brother, Ronald (Anna Mae) Stewart;<br />

brothers, Bob (Terri) Stewart and Jim Stewart;<br />

many nieces, nephews and cousins.<br />

He was preceded in death by: his parents;<br />

wife, Julie Marie Stewart; son, Donald<br />

Eugene Stewart III; brothers, Bill, Jim and<br />

Purdy Stewart; and sisters, Joyce Stewart<br />

and Pam Stewart.<br />

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m.<br />

Oct. 16 at Arrowhead Lodge, 2875 Oneida<br />

Dr., London, with Pastor Lois Hoshor officiating.<br />

Friends may call at the lodge from 1<br />

to 2 p.m.<br />
