Pontypool’s indoor and outdoor markets are gearing up for the festive season with
seasonal gifts and produce, plus a range of events to entertain the whole family
Nov 5 th - Artisan Market - 8am to 5pm
Over 100 local small businesses, local independents and charities take part in pop-up and artisan
markets. With a huge variety of handmade items and delicious food there’s lots on offer!
Nov 10 th – Comedy Stall - 7pm to late
Brand-new comedy night Comedy Stall! Doors open at 7pm, tickets £7 per person from the market
office or the event’s Facebook page. Featured stand-up comics include Huw Davies, Sug Wallace,
Nick Hiscott, Simon Emanuel, and Mike Reed.
Nov 19 th – GW Crafters – 8am to 6.30pm
Pontypool’s largest Christmas Craft Fair to date. Over 70 craft stalls, hot food, live music, licensed bar
serving mulled wine and Baileys hot chocolate plus Santa’s grotto, there is something for everyone!
Nov 26 th – Christmas Cavalcade - 8am to late
Annual community event funded by the Community Council, plenty of stalls from Torfaen and
Gwent Small Businesses. Plus, lots of family-fun activities, including a free Santa’s grotto. An
evening parade, along with switching on the Christmas lights (late opening until 6.30pm).
Dec 7 th – Twilight Market – 8am to 7pm
Pre-order your Christmas meats from new resident butcher, Joyce’s Pantry or stock-up on your
Christmas fruit and veg from Plums & Roses, while taking advantage of the many pop-up Christmas
stalls bristling with festive treats. There will also be Christmas carols by the Methodist Church choir.
Dec 20 th to 22 nd – Artisan Market 8am to 5pm (6.30pm on the 21 st )
Craft and Christmas market in the indoor market and on the high street. Torfaen & Gwent Small
Business returns for the final market of the year with lots of festive fayre, mulled wines, chocolate,
cakes and lots of festive gifts and treats. Santa’s grotto will return for his final visit before heading
back to the North Pole. December 21st will be another opportunity for late-night shopping til 7pm.
