Unlike many field hockey clubs, SG Rotation
Prenzlauer Berg has its roots in the left-wing workers’
movement. It was founded in 1954 as the field
hockey department of SG Dynamo Berlin, before
becoming the company sports club (BSG) of a large
printing company whose rotary presses gave us our
name. Today Rotation is fast-growing with around
800 members, based in the heart of the capital and
home to players from all over the world. In 2016,
the club was awarded European Hockey Club of
the Year. We are one of three parent teams with 30
players between their twenties and sixties who have
only been playing together for one and a half year
now. And we have two great coaches, that we will
take along to Rome.
