Magnificat matters to us because…
While academic pursuits are worthy unto themselves,
having an education which also includes the
development of young women to learn, lead and
serve makes an all-around better person.

Tradition” and “connection”
are two words that Linda ’77
and John Kelly often use
when talking about
Magnificat; tradition in that their
daughter, Megan ’13, is following in
her mom’s footsteps, and connection
to the school as the reason they are
involved as parents. They know that
Magnificat has proven to be a true
college-preparatory school for their
daughter, a senior, while also shaping

her faith and world view. They are
active parent volunteers as they
want to feel connected to the
school that is playing such an
important role in the development
of their daughter. As Fathers’ Club
President, John’s goal is to get even
more dads involved so they can
experience the same connection he
has. Linda is happy that their
daughter is enjoying some of the
same Magnificat traditions she did.

were happy when Megan chose

outside the classroom.”
