The List is a very good science fiction book written by Patricia Forde. It is a better book to
read for children 12-13 years old who are more aware of the current things happening in the
world. Mature ideas such as freedom and curiosity and hope are contained in this book. It
features two main characters both of who are from different backgrounds who were brought
up different and have very different beliefs. Letta was raised in a society led by the
antagonist of the story who has implanted different ideas and beliefs into her. Marlo however,
is raised by the so-called Desecrators by the antagonist and has completely different
clashing beliefs. These two personalities meet by chance in the story and their personalities
clash. This is a great book for anybody mature enough to understand these ideas. This book
would make a person think again about the world.
