With a background in anthropology and currently
studying New Media (Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb),
in her practice, Lucija Ostrogović combines both art
and anthropology in order to try to en/untangle
complex webs of meaning and knowledge(s) of
everyday life. Her research integrates drawing,
animation and theory. She is interested in topics
such as identity, belonging, home-building and
touristification.
Umjetnica uz završen studij antropologije i trenutni
studij novih medija (Akademija likovnih umjetnosti u
Zagrebu), u svojoj praksi kombinira umjetničku praksu
i antropologiju kako bi pokušala razmrsiti/zamrsiti
složene mreže značenja i znanja svakodnevnog života.
Njezina istraživanja integriraju crtanje, animaciju i
teoriju. Zanimaju je teme kao što su identitet,
pripadnost, izgradnja doma i turizam.
