The Process

BEFORE PROJECT KICK-OFF

What are the steps required to officially unboard your client and

get them booked in? Usually this would be the approval of the

Proposal, signing the Agreement and paying a deposit to book their

date in the calendar.

STEP 03 • WEBSITE STRATEGY

If your project includes web design too, then once the brand

identity confirmed, you'll talk about website strategy and how to

ensure you create the best browsing experience for the online

visitors.

STEP 01 • BRAND DISCOVERY

Before you dive into designing the brand identity for your client,

you're likely to focus on brand discovery, strategy and direction

first. This is an essential step to get to know your client better and

ensure you're aligned.

STEP 04 • WEBSITE DEVELOPMENT

As you dive into web design and development, what can the client do

to help you with the process? Will they work on the content during

that phase? Or do they just sit back and let you do your magic?

STEP 02 • BRAND DEVELOPMENT

This is when you'll retreat into your Creative Cave and start

working on designing your client's brand. What shoud your client

expect during this phase? Is anything expected from them? Can

they help you in the process somehow?

STEP 05 • TEST & LAUNCH

Finally, at the very end you'll test everything and prepare your

client for launch! Do you have a special process in place for

launching your client projects and maximise their results? Outline

them briefly here so your client is aware.

Your Investment

You have now shown as much value as possible to your

client and it's time to share with them the expected

investment. If you have discussed any add-ons during

the Discovery Consultation, add them here too.

Do focus on the results that you can bring to your client.

You want them to view it as a long-term investment in

their business, rather than a cost/expense.

in the first place (i.e. "I want to help you transform your

business and ensure price isn't what's standing in the way

of this investment").

PAGE OPTION 2

What's Not Included

FONT LICENSES

Should we decide to go for custom paid fonts for your brand

identity, it is your responsibility to purchase the necessary desktop

& web font licenses.

THIRD-PARTY PLUGINS

If you would like to connect a third-party plugin or add some

functionality to your website that can only be provided by a plugin,

then you will be responsible for purchasing/subscribing to it.

STOCK IMAGES & LICENSES

If you require any stock images or graphics for your brand identity,

it is your responsibility to purchase the necessary licenses to use

them on your website, online or your marketing collateral.

1-ON-1 COACHING & CONSULTING

You will find that my process is filled with strategy and plenty of

guidance. However, if upon project completion you would like

some further coaching, we can arrange that via 1-on-1 sessions.

DOMAIN, HOSTING & EMAIL

The Client is responsible for their own domain, hosting and email

expenses. On average, a domain costs abour $10-15 per year,

while Showit memberships start at $24/month up to $39/month for

advanced accounts, which is required for advanced plugin use.

DELIVERABLES OUTSIDE OF SCOPE

The deliverables outlined in this Proposal are the agreed

deliverables for this project. If you want to add something else

or feel that something is missing please let me know before

approving the Proposal.

Boundaries & Expectations

Communication

Feedback & Approvals

Office Hours

Clear communication is incredibly

to ensure your project runs

smoothly. Explain here what are

your expectations when it comes to

communication and what systems

you have in place to facilitate it. For

example, perhaps you use a tool like

Asana to keep track of the project

progress and all comms.

Delays in feedback and approvals can

easily set your project off track, so

be clear with your client about how

quickly you need to hear back from

them and what happens if they don't

respond in time. For example, if the

client fails to respond to you for 7

days, you may reserve the right to put

the project on hold.

Even though you may only be working

with a handful of clients at a time,

you still have office hours you client

should respect. State them here along

with how quickly can clients expect a

response from you. This helps avoid

situations where clients email you on

the weekend and expect an answer

straight away. Yikes!
