OUR STORY
ORIGINS
BUILT was founded in 2003 by three friends, John Roscoe Swartz,
Aaron Lown and Carter Weiss. They found a common bond in their
passion for innovative design, well-crafted goods, and their enjoyment
of food & wine. This led them to the use of Neoprene and the creation
of BUILT’s definitive Two-Bottle Wine Tote.
With an inventive design team, BUILT has expanded upon its original
creation, offering an entire collection of goods that provide a fresh take
on everyday items that combine both function and fashion for the good
life on the go.

We believe that great design makes everyday life better. For design to
be great, it has to be different. And that requires thinking differently.
We think there’s no better place to do this than New York City. It dares
you to be original and is also the epicenter of a matchless creative
community. That’s why BUILT calls New York home. Our designs are
based on simplicity, a passion for materials and a desire to make life
easier when on the go.
In BUILT, you’ll find a collection of industrious, stylish, and protective
goods inspired by the city that never sleeps. Our products combine
form and function, and like a native New Yorker, they make a bold
statement at first impression.

DECORATION
Laser Engraving 4CP Digital Print Pad Printing Heat Transfer
This is our tried and true decoration
method. The level of detail able to be
achieved, even in the most complex
artwork, is unmatched. Engraving down
to the original material creates a high
end look that is complementary to the
stainless steel. Perhaps most important,
this decoration method is our most
durable option.
Our newest and most advanced
decoration method provides excellent
versatility. Features include highresolution
printing, CMYK/PMS Color
Matching, UV light cured ink, and
varnish abilities to add texture & a high
gloss finish if desired. Our Full Color
Digital process has yet to see artwork it
cannot handle, and has been tested to
be dishwasher safe up to 200 washes.
Spot color printing is the original of all
decoration methods. For 1 color logos
this is the highest quality and most
efficient method available.
Heat transfer vinyl is a specialty vinyl
material that is used to decorate
or personalize fabric items, such
as neoprene. HTV contains a heatactivated
adhesive backing, which
allows the vinyl to permanently transfer
to your garment when heat pressed
with sufficient time, temperature, and
pressure.

Manufacturing is our specialty. Our design, customer service, inventory,
and production lines are all under one roof. We have solutions for all
decoration and delivery wants and needs.
