About
contrasts
Contrasts are everpresent in our lives.They are
big focus of this series of artworks. They are
both present in narrative parts as are in elements
and techniques used to create them. The most
obvious one is between darkness and light.
Second one is between old aesthetics and new
ideas and concepts that are woven into it. Next
one is between complexity of micro elements
- patterns and simplicity of monochrome. And
finally most subtle one is between analog feel
of old photographs used for collages and digital
mathematics generated patterns.

About author
I have over 20 years of experience in creative
industry. 20 years as a graphic designer
with over 200 projects under my belt. I have
written, directed, produced and post produced
24 minute movie “Leek Longings” 2012
that revoves around theme of subjectivity of
experiences. From 2015 I am totaly focused
on creating new creative language and outlet
for me that becomes this series of artworks.
2020 I create another series of artworks
called “Family Gardens” that has narrative
structure in over 60 images.

About technique
All artworks are digitally created photo
collages using creative commons photographs
found on online free historical databases.
Black and white collages are then post
processed with patterns and vectors that in
a sense mimic visual language of traditional
engravings and crosshatches. They are
aditionaly blended and fine tuned for visual
clarity in diferent zoom factors, both macro
and micro as a detail. They are applied to a
large variety of mediums, some of wich are:
paper, canvas, wood and metal.
