PROGRAM NOTE<br />
In the spring of 2020 and throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, we all lost something.<br />
Whether it be lost time with friends, loss of physical closeness, canceled events,<br />
unemployment, mental instability, lost sense of taste or smell, or worst of all, the loss of<br />
life or a loved one. This piece captures the sense of grief and disruption felt during that<br />
time, highlighting the emotions felt when—just as we thought things were turning a<br />
corner—new frustrations always seem to suddenly appear.
