small batches to ensure that the artisans are provided

with long term, sustainable work rather than short

factories. 100% of the profit from sales goes to the

Shanti Bhavann Children’s Project. We are child

labour free and are ethically and fairly made with

GoodWeave International certification. This collection

KULA

Kula - Sanskrit word that translates to ‘community, tribe or clan’.

The Kula rug was designed by a beautiful artisanal community of women in

Uttar Pradesh, India. They came to us with a design concept of a hand knitted

wool rug that we absolutely fell in love with! They were incredibly proud of

their design and together lovingly hand-knitted our Kula rugs.

Made out of 100% New Zealand wool with macrame inspired tassles, this rug

is sure to delight.

Sapna - Sanskrit word for ‘Dreamstate’

Sapna embodies a hand knotted ribbed pattern with hand braided

tassled ends. Subtle, neutral and classic, this rug will add texture and

The Nadi rug is reminiscent of the traditional Moroccan Berber style with its

black diamond pattern that has been meticulously cut-in by hand within the

dense natural wool pile. The hand braided tassled ends add a bohemian feel

Satya is reminiscent of the traditional Moroccan Berber style with its black

The making

of the rugs

The rug weaving techniques carried by artisans in

India today, date back to the 16 th Century. In the State

of Uttar Praddesh where our Slow Weave collection

has been made, you will find the most talented

weavers in the world.

The artisans are proud about their heritage and their

ancient expertise. Each rug is delicately and lovingly

crafted, providing us with rugs that tell a remarkable

story of devotion to craftsmanship that can't be

replicated by any machine.

At Rugs For Good, we are passionate about

supporting the continuation of these ancient skills by

focusing on handcrafted rugs made fairly & ethically.
