Dave Bunnell's way of presenting the gospel with the EvangeCube
(Provided here as a help for anyone learning to use the cube that wants to gain more
confidence in how to clearly present the gospel with it.)
First panel:
This person represents every person, like you and me. He is utterly
surrounded by darkness. The darkness represents what God's word calls
"sin." Sin is any act, thought, or word that violates the desire of God, Who
is perfect.
The Bible teaches that "God is light, and in Him is no darkness at all." That is why
on this side, separated from the man, is light, representing God. If it is light, it's not dark.
If it is dark, it's not light. Light and darkness can't coexist. For this reason, it is
impossible for anyone who has sinned to live with God in heaven, because God cannot
dwell in heaven with any sin at all.
This is very bad news, because God's word tells us that "all have sinned and fall
short of the glory of God." The reason we cannot see God now is because we have all
sinned, and are all unworthy of His presence and the pleasures of dwelling with Him.
There is a gap between us and Him, caused by our sin. (opening the cube part way to
show the gap separating) We all stand ready for condemnation and eternal separation
from God, and we all truly deserve this sentence. Nothing we could ever do can clean
our record of sin and make us worthy of heaven. Not even religious things like
churchgoing, baptism, taking communion, praying, or reading the Bible.
Second panel:
But there's good news for us today. God's word also assures us that He
loves us unconditionally. Because of His love, He was willing to do whatever
was necessary for us to have eternal life in spite of our sin. Please understand
this: Since God is holy, He must punish sin, and He must remain separated
from it. But since He loves us, He wants to forgive us.
So Jesus, God's Son, came and lived a perfect life, completely obedient to God in
our place. Then He died for us, taking the punishment for our sins. He did not die to
show us how to live. He died in our place, absorbing all of God's righteous punishment
for every wrong we've done.
Third panel:
Then they buried Him in a tomb. They put a stone in front of the
tomb, and armed guards around it. This was because Jesus had said
He was the Son of God Who would rise from the dead.
They wanted to make it humanly impossible for anyone outside the tomb to get in, and
impossible for anyone inside the tomb to get out.
They would not succeed. Because Jesus' claim to be God is true.
Fourth panel:
So, on the third day, just as He said He would, Christ rose again from
the grave; and He still lives today at the right hand of the Father in heaven.
By rising from the grave, He proved He is God. And He proved He had paid
the full price for our sins against God. Because the Bible says, "the wages of sin is
death." So if Jesus had not satisfied God's justice and paid for our sins completely, He
could not have risen from the dead. Unless He had completely accomplished the goal of
providing forgiveness for our sins and making us right with God, He would have stayed
in the tomb. But the tomb is empty today, because Christ died for our sins and rose from
the dead.

Fifth panel:
Since Christ substituted Himself for us, the cross of Christ today is like a
bridge that can transport us from the darkness of our sin, to the light of a
relationship with God. We can come into His presence with a perfect record, as
if we had never sinned at all, if we will trust in Christ, because He lived a perfect
life in our place, and died a just death in our place. He can give us eternal life for
free.
Important transition: But just knowing about these things is not enough. Each of us
must make a choice either to trust Christ and be saved, or fail to trust Christ and be
condemned.
Sixth panel:
Since Jesus is the Son of God who died and rose again, it is of great
importance that we believe what He says about how to have eternal life with
God. People may tell us that it is by doing what the church wants us to do
that we get eternal life; but if we want eternal life, we must believe what the
Son of God who rose from the dead says about it.
Jesus said this: "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to
the Father except through Me." That means that there is nothing we can do to earn
eternal life. We must just trust in Christ alone. He is the only way to God. We cannot
make another way for ourselves, and the church cannot make another way for us. Christ
is our only hope, because the Bible says, "Salvation is found in no one else, for there is
no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved." (Acts 4:12)
If we do not trust Christ, then God will not be able to receive us in heaven, despite
any good things we've done, because our record includes sin. It is only on the basis of
Christ's righteous life and His acceptance of our punishment in our place that we can
obtain eternal life.
Christ reaches out to you today, offering you eternal life; but if you do not trust in
Him alone, you will spend eternity separated from God, receiving punishment for your
sins.
If you will trust Him today, believing He died to pay the penalty for your sins, and
then rose alive again, He will save you. He will forgive your sins and give you eternal life
in heaven. Jesus Christ, who is God and cannot lie, has made you this promise that He
will never break.
In response to this message God has brought to you today, would you like to trust
Jesus Christ and be given eternal life through Him?
Do you believe that you have sinned?
Do you believe that Christ died taking the punishment so you could be saved?
Do you believe He rose again and will give you eternal life if you trust in Him?
You can tell God these things now in prayer, if you wish. Just saying a prayer is not
what saves you; but if you truly believe these things in your heart you will be saved.
Prayer is a way of telling God that you will now trust in Christ who died for you to give
you eternal life. Would you like to do this now?

Romaneste -- Modalitatea lui Dave Bunnell de a prezenta Evanghelia cu ajutorul Cubului.
Primul pătrat:
Această persoană reprezintă fiecare persoană, ca tine şi ca mine. El
este înconjurat de întuneric. Întunericul reprezintă ceea ce Dumnezeu
numeşte “păcat.” Păcatul este orice acŃiune, gând sau cuvânt ce nu
respectă voinŃa lui Dumnezeu, care este perfect.
Biblia ne învaŃă că “Dumnezeu este lumină şi în El nu este întuneric.” De aceea pe
partea aceasta, separate de om, este lumină, reprezentându-L pe Dumnezeu. Dacă este
lumină nu este întuneric şi dacă este întuneric nu este lumină. Lumina şi întunericul nu
pot fi împreună. Din acest motiv este imposibil pentru oricine dintre noi care a păcătuit
să trăiască cu Dumnezeu în rai pentru că Dumnezeu nu poate locui în rai nici măcar cu
un păcat.
Aceasta este o ştire rea, pentru că se spune în Cuvântul lui Dumnezeu “căci toŃi
au păcătuit şi sunt lipsiŃi de slava lui Dumnezeu.” Motivul pentru care nu-L putem vedea
pe Dumnezeu este faptul că toŃi am păcătuit şi nu merităm prezenŃa Lui şi plăcerile de a
locui împreună cu El.
Există o spărtură între noi şi Dumnezeu cauzată de păcatul nostru. (cubul se
deschide doar puŃin pentru a arăta separarea dintre noi şi Dumnezeu) Noi toŃi suntem
pregătiŃi pentru condamnarea şi veşnica separare de Dumnezeu şi merităm această
sentinŃă într-adevăr. Nimic din ce am face noi nu ar putea curăŃa păcatele noastre ca să
putem intra în rai. Nici măcar lucrurile religioase cum ar fi mersul la biserică, botezul,
cina, rugăciunea sau cititul Bibliei.
Al doilea pătrat:
Însă avem o veste bună. Cuvântul lui Dumnezeu de asemenea ne asigură
că El ne iubeşte necondiŃionat. Datorită dragostei Lui, El a fost gata să facă
orice pentru ca noi să avem viaŃă veşnică în ciuda păcatului nostru. ÎnŃelegeŃi
acest lucru: din moment ce Dumnezeu este sfânt, El trebuie să pedepsească
păcatul şi trebuie să rămână separate de păcat. Însă pentru că El ne iubeşte, El
vrea să ne ierte.
Astfel că Isus, Fiul lui Dumnezeu, a venit pe pământ şi a dus o viaŃă perfectă, în
completă ascultare de Dumnezeu în locul nostru. Apoi a murit pentru noi, luînd pedeapsa
pentru păcatele noastre. NU a murit ca să ne arate cum să trăim. El a murit în locul
nostru, luînd asupra Lui toată pedeapsa pe drept a lui Dumnezeu pentru orice lucru rău
pe care l-am făcut.
Al treilea pătrat:
Apoi L-au îngropat într-un mormânt, au pus o piatră mare în faŃa
mormântului şi soldaŃi de pază datorită faptului că Isus a spus că El
este Fiul lui Dumnezeu care va învia din morŃi.
Ei au vrut să facă imposibil din punct de vedere omenesc pentru oricine din afara
mormântului să intre sau dinăuntru să iasă.
Nu au reuşit. Pentru că afirmaŃia lui Isus de a fi Dumnezeu este adevărată.
Al patrulea pătrat:
Deci, în a tria zi, precum a spus, Cristos a înviat din morŃi şi astăzi El
trăieşte la dreapta Tatălui în rai. Prin învierea Lui din morŃi, El a dovedit că
este Dumnezeu. Şi a dovedit că a plătit întregul preŃ pentru păcatele noastre
împotriva lui Dumnezeu. Căci Biblia spune “plata păcatului este moartea.”
Deci dacă Isus nu ar fi satisfăcut dreptatea lui Dumnezeu şi nu ar fi plătit pentru păcatele
noastre complet, El nu ar fi înviat din morŃi. Dacă nu ar fi atins scopul de a da iertare
păcatelor noastre şi de a ne aduce curaŃi în faŃa Lui, El ar fi rămas în mormânt. Însă astăzi
mormântul este gol pentru că Cristos a murit pentru păcatele noastre şi a înviat din
morŃi.

Al cincilea pătrat:
Din moment ce Cristos a luat locul nostru, astăzi crucea Lui este ca un
pod care ne poate transporta de la întunericul păcatului nostru la lumina unei
relaŃii cu Dumnezeu. Noi putem veni în prezenŃa Lui curaŃi ca şi cum nu am fi
păcătuit niciodată dacă credem în Cristos, pentru că El a trăit o viaŃă perfectă în
locul nostru şi a murit făcând dreptate în locul nostru. El ne poate da viaŃă
veşnică iar noi nu trebuie să plătim pentru ea.
Important transition: Nu este însă suficient doar să ştii aceste lucruri. Fiecare dintre noi
trebuie să aleagă ori să se încredinŃeze în Cristos pentru a fi mântuit, ori să nu se
încredinŃeze în El şi să fie condamnat.
Al şaselea pătrat:
Din moment ce Isus este Fiul lui Dumnezeu care a murit şi a înviat,
este de mare importanŃă ca noi să credeam ceea ce El a spus despre cum să
ai viaŃă veşnică cu Dumnezeu. Unii oameni ne vor spune că putem avea viaŃă
veşnică dacă facem ceea ce vrea biserica; însă dacă vrem să avem viaŃă
veşnică trebuie să credem ceea ce Fiul lui Dumnezeu care a înviat din morŃi a
spus.
Isus a spus: “Eu sunt calea, adevărul şi viaŃa. Nimeni nu vine la Tatăl decât prin
Mine.” Aceasta înseamnă că noi nu putem face nimic ca să câştigăm viaŃa veşnică. Noi
trebuie numai să credem în Isus Cristos. El este singura cale spre Dumnezeu. Noi nu
putem face o altă cale pentru noi şi nici biserica nu poate face o altă cale. Cristos este
singura noastră speranŃă pentru că Biblia spune “În nimeni altul nu este mântuire: căci
nu este sub cer un alt nume dat oamenilor în care trebuie să fim mântuiŃi.” (Faptele
Apostolilor 4:12)
Dacă nu credem în Cristos, atunci Dumnezeu nu ne va putea primi în rai , în ciuda
faptelor bune pe care le-am făcut, căci este şi păcat. Numai pe baza vieŃii neprihănite a lui
Cristos şi prin faptul că El a acceptat pedeapsa în locul nostru putem să avem viaŃă
veşnică.
Cristos vine la tine astăzi, oferindu-Ńi viaŃă veşnică, însă dacă nu te încrezi doar în
El, vei petrece veşnicia separate de Dumnezeu, primind pedeapsa pentru păcatele tale.
Dacă te încredinŃezi în El astăzi, crezând că El a murit să plătească pedeapsa
pentru păcatele tale şi apoi a înviat din morŃi, El te va mântui. El îŃi va ierta păcatele şi îŃi
va da viaŃă veşnică în rai. Isus Cristos, care este Dumnezeu şi nu poate minŃi, a făcut
această promisiune pe care o va Ńine.
În răspuns la acest mesaj pe care Dumnezeu Ńi l-a adus astăzi, vrei să te
încredinŃezi în Isus Cristos şi să începi viaŃa veşnică împreună cu El?
Crezi că ai făcut păcate?
Crezi că Isus a murit pentru păcatele tale ca tu să poŃi fi mântuit?
Crezi că El a înviat şi că îŃi va da viaŃă veşnică dacă te încredinŃezi în El?
Îi poŃi spune aceste lucruri lui Dumnezeu în rugăciune, dacă vrei. Însă dacă doar rosteşti
o rugăciune nu vei fi mântuit, ci doar dacă crezi cu adevărat în inima ta, atunci vei fi
mântuit. Rugăciunea este o modalitate de a-I spune lui Dumnezeu că te încredinŃezi în
Cristos care a murit pentru tine să îŃi dea viaŃă veşnică. Vrei să faci acest lucru acum?
