Consulmar is the main Portuguese consultant in port infrastructure, maritime
hydraulics, and coastal engineering.
It has proven itself in projects ranging from small commercial and fishing
ports to large, specialized terminals.

Carrying out many studies and design in bulk terminals.
Highlight for the job on the largest Bulk Port in Portugal,
in Sines, namely, planning and layout studies, design and
supervision of the works of the oil, petrochemical, coal
terminals and, more recently, the new Liquid Natural Gas
terminal (LNG).

Awarded by the American Society of Civil
Engineering, as a result of studies carried out for
the rehabilitation of the West Breakwater in the
Port of Sines.
CERTIFICATIONS
Consulmar has a quality management system
certified by the ISO 9001 standard for the
activities of “Elaboration and Review of Engineering
Designs and Technical Assistance in the Areas
of Engineering and Architecture; Management,
Supervision and quality Control of Works and
Coordination of Safety of Works.
Since 1992, holder of the
qualification as “General Manager of the
Quality of Construction Projects”,
awarded by the National Civil Engineering
Laboratory (LNEC), with the highest degree in all
categories.
It has, since 2016, a
consulting license for public works in
Mozambique,
awarded by the Ministry of Public Works, Housing
and Water Resources.

Awarded by the Institution of Civil Engineers, for the
research conducted, in partnership with LNEC and
Royal Haskoning, on the overtopping of the west
breakwater of Sines.

2ND BEST INTERNACIONAL MARINA 2015
Assigned to Albufeira Marina. Voting was
promoted by the Yacht Harbour Association in
conjunction with the British Marine Federation.
