Hi, I am Shady A. Soliman an Architect, Photographer
and a Technology Enthausiast.
Today, amid having seven years of professional
experience, I was able to acquire a broad and
diverse range of expertise in the past few years,
my professional practice extended from leading
design projects in a high-profile design studio to
delivering shop drawing packages and directing
site projects in Saudi Arabia. I believe this multifaceted
experience resulted in a well-rounded
understanding of the architectural process and requirements
that distinguish me among my peers.

Roles & Responsibilities Took positions as a Design Architect, a Sr. Technical Architect and a Site Director, in all of which
I had administer duties, claimed multiple promotions and proved to be worthy of my stature.
Lead multiple teams into Technical & Design ventures, where we were capable of meeting the client’s
requests, whilst keeping the team morale high and the office’s project budget within limits.
Participated in the creation of BIM departments in two different offices, one of which had its
focus in utilizing BIM in facilitating the design process while the other was looking forward into
streamlining its production pipeline.
Aided my superiors with valuable insights about alternative solutions that proved to be rewarding
and generally better in the long run.

ICONIC MOSQUE • DUBAI CREEK
Competition | 2018
Humbled against Dubai’s race for the tallest and the greatest,
distracting and dispersing as it can be. This mosque is
a refuge from the man made gods of metrialistic surroundings,
to the pacifying grace of transcendence.

FORM EVOLUTION
I. The perfect image, and man-made dream..
Glamorous as it can be, but is this enough!?
II. Buildings and rapid development left less
room for people to breathe, Oxygen is present
and clean too, but do spirits breathe?
III. Overwhelmed with demons, yet there remains
a chance for light to disclose itself.
IV. Light inception, nothing matters, no land,
no image, no call is significant,
Only that of Haqq.

V. Then there was light, light is the natural inhabitant
of our inward life, the only means for
set soul free.
VI. Light changes everything, light of Haqq
guides us to physically sculpt, and form a
home for the soul.
VII. This is where love, realization, and light reside,
where souls longs for transcendence.
VIII. Glorious and glamorous, realization is happening,
light is there and within.

NYC STADIUM • ADAPTIVE REUSE
Competition | 2018
In RESIDENTIAL STADIUM: ADAPTIVE REUSE, we analyze
how architecture can provide solutions to stadium designs,
so they can always be reused after the event has finished.

FORM EVOLUTION
I. Park is located in the heart of
the city’s grid intersection.
II. Current play field is positioned
in the heart of the park.
III. Blocks are placed to encompass
the play field. [A]
IV. The field acts as magnet,
where blocks density increases
as it gets closer. [B/C]

V. Rotation occurs as density
decreases towards the edge of
the park, as the blocks start to
respect the street grids. [D]
VI. Blocks variate in height in
accordance to their proximity
to the field, creating a wave that
imitates the cheering fans. [E]

Master Planning | 2018
Setting on the top of Red Sea mountain range, the proposal
for Santorini city is born, with reference to northern roots,
the masterplan respects the contour of the site, resulting in
