“Olympic Values”: In 2006 the IOC Ethics Commission found that he had seriously tarnished the
reputation of the Olympic Movement, that he had violated the Olympic Charter and IOC Code of
Ethics and was therefore in breach of both. He received a “reprimand” and was denied the chance to
Chair any IOC Commission for 5 years.
He remains eligible to be a member of commissions, see above.
