Than A Place To Stay - Ronald McDonald House

Dear friends,
As 2010 came to a close we realized again how much we owe to each and every
one of you who holds this House close to your heart. We are full year round with
seriously ill children and their families and they need a clean room, a pantry, dinners,
friendly faces and all the support that we can gather. In 2010 that support meant
new furniture for the family bedrooms and TV areas, dinners most nights of the week,
therapy dogs every day and all together it added up to more volunteer hours than
ever before – over 36,000.
You help in so many ways to make this House a place of comfort, support and hope.
You send in donations, attend our events, drive the van, make quilts, cook dinner,
volunteer each week and together you helped ease the burden of nearly 700 families
who were going through the worst time of their lives. That support is so important to
the families who need this House. They often comment that people who didn’t even
know them volunteered their time and resources to help and that they will never
forget that.
We are honored to have such a large and committed group of friends. On behalf of all
of us here thank you so much for all that you do.

Our mission
Ronald McDonald House Charities of Western Washington & Alaska® supports families with seriously
ill children. Our programs include the Seattle Ronald McDonald House® and a van service for families
staying in Anchorage while their children receive medical care.
