Corn is primarily raised for livestock feed and ethanol. Martin County is the home to two<br />
ethanol plants, Green Plains and Valero.<br />
The county is also home to CHS soybean processing plant where soybeans are processed into<br />
soybean meal and soybean oil. Soybean meal is used to feed livestock, while soybean oil is<br />
used for biofuels as well as other innovative uses.<br />

Agriculture is a key industry in our community. It not only provides many jobs to our local<br />
economy, but also allows us to do our part to feed the world.<br />
