Keyboardist Lee aka Sweet Tea sums
it up, “What can I say. but when it’s
fun, it’s fun!” Lee brings a vast knowledge
of keyboard technique, and uses
cutting edge tech to create a thick,
modern keyboard sound set. He continues,
saying “When it comes to live
performance, sound is most important,
but showmanship comes in a close
second.” Lee has a high energy performance
that keeps him moving and this
adds to the vitality of the show. Dynamically
animated, keyboard proficient,
and commanding backup vocals,
Lee is proud to add his contribution to
the Flori-DUH experience.
Sunni mentioned, “ Putting this group
together felt natural. When we added
Julio and Lee to the core group, this
completed our vision and now here we
are bringing our years of sonic experience
and a show second to no one to
the masses. We hope everyone enjoys
the FloriDUH experience as much as
we love doing it.”
The band plans to continue to
play family friendly shows, festivals,
and exciting venues. They have their
sights on theme parks, cruises, and any
place where people like to have a good
time. AND they would like to have
Lee, the keyboard player, skydive onto
the stage just once. The band likes to
think of their shows more or less as
the FloriDUH encounter. That would
include costume changes, choreographed
stage dances, and crowd interaction.
This makes them more than
a band, they are a show experience.
They choose their songs carefully and
select ones that are interactive and
influential. This means nothing is off
the table. The current set list includes
songs from Prince, Black Eye Peas,
Warren G, Johnny Cash, MJ & even
Back Street Boys. In a phrase: “expect
the unexpected and have fun.”

Lowdown

Hello and welcome to April. It is
the month that welcomes the
summer and along with it many cool
concert tours and festivals. Being born
and raised in Buffalo, April would signify
that the God-awful winter weather
was finally breaking for warmer temps.
But I digress. The weather here is primarily
why I’m here in addition to the
great music scene, so let’s get started.
April is also the month that WFIT puts
on the Sonic Waves Music Festival.
Happening April 15th in EGAD, this
will be the first one without newly retired
Todd Kennedy at the helm. Syd
Taylor, WEEP, Coastal Breed and
headliner Tru Phonic are this year’s
participants. What a way to usher in
the Steve Yasko era of Soundwaves.
For those keeping score, the station
now airs music an hour earlier at 9 am
which the possibility of hearing local
music on our local airwaves. You can
at 89.5 FM and online at WFIT.Org...
A special Lowdown congrats to power
couple and scene legends Jacie Madison
and Chris Walker on the upcoming
birth of their daughter
later this summer.
Madison has elected
to put both Tank Top
and the Smashing
Pixies on hold while
pregnant. I’ve known
them a long time and
couldn’t be happier. As
a parent myself it’ll be
interesting to see if her
lyrics change on future
songs...
Keep an eye and an ear out for local
singer/songwriter Destiny Sewell. She
released her first EP entitled ‘Close the
Door on Your Way Out’ earlier this
year. “The first track on it starts with
a door creaking open and the last track
ends with a door slam, because I wanted
it to feel like I’m letting the listener
in to my life personally, and having a
conversation,” she explains. Some of
us got to see her perform last year at
the Space Coast Music Festival ‘kids’
stage. I for one was blown away with
her stage presence and poise. Look
for big things to come and more great
performances throughout the county
and beyond...If watching music online

than the newest video from DL Serios.
‘Smile Sara Smile’, the 2nd single from
‘Pecker’ was uploaded to the masses
last month. In addition to a world premier
showing in Melbourne, the band
played a short set to a very enthusiastic
crowd. The band’s 1st single, ‘Feeling
Freakie’, is also available online and
the band’s social media pages.
Hearing great things about singer
Ron Wang. He brings his ‘Ron Wang
Show’ all across the County as well
as one half of the Krazy Ivan duo. A
native of Thailand, he came to the US
as a child in the 70s. If you like your
cover tunes stripped down, find a full
