Description
Struggling and Winning: My Death Journey is about marriage, death,
transitioning, and transformation, Janet finds out that Tyree is going
to get worse from his sickness/disease and later die within seven
months. She shares how to maneuver through marriage, death,
transitioning, and transformation. She must decide if she is going to be
the wife based on the vow her and Tyree said to each other on June 10,
2000. Because she had considered leaving him several years prior to
getting the diagnosis that would lead to Tyree’s death. After she
received this information about Tyree’s death from God her initial
response was silence. It became a reality the third time God spoke to
her while taking a nap. She raises up from the bed and begin to write
down what God were saying to her. She asked God, “Who can I tell?” Not
being able to share with anyone until God releases her, she must go on
with life as though she did not know. Taking care of Tyree every step of
the way until the doctor tells her she cannot do it alone. She has to
make another decision to send Tyree to a nursing home for continued
care. God was there every step of the way. He promised never to leave
her nor forsake her. Each day she held on to the promise of God calling
on the name of Jesus when she felt weak. Janet’s belief in God is
evident by the scriptures she shares in Tyree’s and her death journey.
