Golden Oceanic 3MM

Unisex Wetsuit

Product Information

Hello Golden customer! On behalf of all of us here at

Golden, thank you for purchasing and supporting

our business. Living in Roatan Bay, Honduras, we

see firsthand the plastic and ocean pollution issue.

Our mission is to help reduce and eliminate the

unsustainable practices of the world and make

reliable scuba and snorkeling gear with recycled

plastics and eco-friendly textiles. As a company

that wants to drive the world further into a more

environmentally friendly place, your contribution is

getting us going!

Please spread the word about our cause and

encourage your friends to purchase from us. When

people buy from Golden, an automatic 20% goes

towards research to find the best ways to be

sustainable and eco-friendly with the creation and

design of our gear. You and the world are in good

hands with us!

- Miles Morris | Founder

Most wetsuits worldwide are made of neoprene

fabric, but better and more sustainable options exist.

At Golden, all of our suits are made of ultra-pure

natural rubber. During the production of our wetsuits,

materials are processed using recycled water and,

to produce energy, waste plant material is used.

Even the dyes and glue used

in our wetsuits are sustainable

and ocean-friendly! Golden

uses water-based adhesives

and water-based inks; we want

to ensure every part of our

production minimizes our carbon

footprint on the environment from

this and all our products.

Golden’s wetsuits are made with ultra-pure natural

rubber, and our inner and outer linings are made from

recycled plastic bottles in the ocean. About 30

plastic bottles can be used on a single wetsuit.

These bottles are spun into a soft polyester yard

that creates the lining.

Buying wetsuits is a significant

investment. If your Golden

wetsuit is correctly cared for,

it can last years. Our friends

from Padi give great advice on

cleaning and caring for your

wetsuit. The following steps are

as soon as you start using your

suit and can keep your wetsuit

in good condition for many years

of adventure.

SOAK IT

Soak your wetsuit in cold or lukewarm freshwater as

soon as possible with a mild solution of baking soda

or wetsuit shampoo. Soak for 30 minutes, and then

soak inside out for 30 minutes.

SCRUB IT

While your wetsuit is soaking, pull the zipper up

and down consistently to dislodge any dirt: Scrub

zippers and velcro with a toothbrush. Repeat as

needed until the zipper moves smoothly.

RINSE IT

After soaking, make sure to give the soaking a

thorough rise both inside and out. Use fresh, cool

water to remove the product that was used to clean

your wetsuit.

INSPECT IT

Look for tears or gouges, especially along the seams.

If necessary, resow with heavy polyester thread.

HANG IT

Turn your wetsuit inside out, and hang it on a flat

hanger out of direct sunlight. Turn it right-side-out

and repeat.

STORE IT

Store your wetsuit on a hanger or loosely folded, and

keep it where the temperature stays consistent.

As divers, what we always worry about after

cleaning our wetsuit is seeing a rip! That always

ruins our day and puts us in a foul mood, even after

a beautiful underwater adventure. Golden wetsuits

can last 6-12 years, depending on how often you

go on adventures. All of our wetsuits have a tenyear

warranty; most of the time, after ten years, the

wetsuit should be replaced because it has lost its

elasticity or strong durability (not saying that it can’t

be worn after ten years).

So, what to do if you see a rip?

• Contact customer service; call (504) 247-3436

or email customersupport@golden.com

• Once customer service has received your

information, you should get an email with a

questionnaire and packing slip to send back to

the manufacturer

• Please fill out the questionnaire, place it and

your wetsuit in a package with the label taped

onto the front of your package, and mail it with a

sender of your choice (you are in charge of any

shipping costs)

• After 2-4 weeks, you should get a box in the

mail with your fixed wetsuit!
