The Whittington Festival <strong>2024</strong><br />

Thursday May 16th – Sunday May 19th<br />

Whittington Church<br />

With a fantastic line-up of musicians offering world<br />

class music over three days, Whittington Festival is<br />

being hosted at Whittington Church from Thursday 16<br />

May to Sunday 19 May <strong>2024</strong>.<br />

This year features violinist Braimah Kanneh-Mason,<br />

pianist Sophia Rahman (Artistic Director of the festival)<br />

<strong>and</strong> an array of other young musicians. There are also<br />

five concerts during the festival: Four Seasons plus!,<br />

Circle of Friends, Family Concert & Jazz, Visions <strong>and</strong><br />

Apparitions <strong>and</strong> Youth <strong>and</strong> Experience.<br />

The full programme details <strong>and</strong> tickets are available on<br />

their website with free admission for anyone under the<br />

age of 25. Festival passes are £76.00 <strong>and</strong> are available<br />

to buy online.<br />

Clubfest <strong>2024</strong><br />

Friday 24 May – Tuesday 28 May<br />

Weston Park, Weston-under-Lizard, Shifnal<br />

An unforgettable four-day event. Clubfest <strong>2024</strong> is set<br />

amongst the stunning backdrop of Weston Park from<br />

Friday 24 May to Tuesday 28 May.<br />

With live on-stage entertainment from Scouting for<br />

Girls, Toploader, Jason Donovan <strong>and</strong> ELO Experience<br />

along with many other musicians <strong>and</strong> groups, the<br />

festival should definitely be on your list to visit this<br />

year!<br />

Now introducing zones with inclusive activities for the<br />

whole family, from a Wellbeing Club to a Nature Club,<br />

there’s something for every guest to make the most of<br />

this May.<br />

Shrewsbury’s May Fair Farmer’s Market is being held on<br />

Saturday 18th May in Shrewsbury’s town square.<br />

Held monthly in the square on the first Friday of each<br />

month, the Farmer’s Market features an array of<br />

Shropshire’s best produce.<br />

From local cheeses <strong>and</strong> bakes to gorgeous jewellery,<br />

Shrewsbury’s market has something for everyone to<br />

enjoy <strong>and</strong> is just a stone’s throw away from the town’s<br />

variety of cafes, shops <strong>and</strong> restaurants for visitors to<br />

make a full day of it.<br />

Still a popular attraction, this year’s show will be held at<br />

the West Mid Showground on 25th May with plenty of<br />

livestock <strong>and</strong> tractors with entertainment to run all day.<br />

The event will also feature a variety of producers all<br />

selling their produce <strong>and</strong> creations from food <strong>and</strong> drink<br />

to clothing <strong>and</strong> art.<br />

Whether you want to sit back <strong>and</strong> enjoy the music <strong>and</strong><br />

atmosphere or sample local produce while the kids<br />

enjoy the children’s zone, there’s something for<br />

everyone to enjoy this May.<br />
