I often see that immigrants only know how to save, which is<br />
saddening because I see <strong>the</strong>m struggle as what <strong>the</strong>y are saving is<br />
insufficient for <strong>the</strong> times <strong>the</strong>y need it. No one taught <strong>the</strong>m how to<br />
grow or build <strong>the</strong>ir cash.<br />
There are so many ways we can help people of color, and if we<br />
could start while <strong>the</strong>y're young, what a difference we could make.<br />

Although my journey was different, I also had to put myself<br />
through school. My fa<strong>the</strong>r advised me against going to Howard<br />
University because of <strong>the</strong> cost, so I told him not to worry about it<br />
and that I would fund it myself. I didn't know it would work out<br />
<strong>the</strong>n, but I spoke it into existence through scholarships and o<strong>the</strong>r<br />
modes of funding.
