This TV series Wilddom is aimed at children ages three
to six. It will be a very illustrated series.
It will consist of twelve, eleveen minute episode.
It is about two rivals and their side kicks that want
to claim a magical forest that they thought was their
own. War rages on until the forest is under attack but
an unexpected visitor that needs help to escape. Clashing
personalities come out and we get to see what happens in
a magical forest.

FRANKIE
CHARACTERISTICS
Frankie is a energetic boy who is always covered
in mud and refuses to wear a top. He acts very
tough and mean but is a softy under the exterior.
Frankie enjoys climbing, bogs and rivers and likes
to sit out watching the stars at night.

FROGGY
CHARACTERISTICS
Froggy cannot keep his opinion to himself, he
is rude and smacks his tongue out wherever he
please.
Froggy enjoys bogs and rivers and likes to
laze around on a lily pad while Frankie is star
gazing.

PENNIE
CHARACTERISTICS
Pennie is a gentle girl but will defend what is
dear to her at all costs. Equally manic hair as
Frankie but she is significantly cleaner.
Pennie enjoys planting new flowers and watching
them grow and bird watching.

PEBBLE
CHARACTERISTICS
Pebble is very territorial, peaks the creatures
she does not like. Easily disgusted and will not do
something she does not want to.
Pebble enjoys eating worms and mushrooms and
having a good bath in the river beside her home.

HEDGE
CHARACTERISTICS
Hedge is one of a kind, can barely do anything
because of his stumpy arms and is easily
frightened. Has the biggest heart of gold.
Hedge enjoys darks warm spaces and stealing
creatures food while they are cooking.

FAWN
CHARACTERISTICS
Fawn is a timid old ferret who is very
particular in how things go. Hard of hearing and
zones out and stares for too long.
Fawn enjoys gathering flowers and berries and
finding out what everyone is up to.

SHELL
CHARACTERISTICS
Shell is a very quiet creature that knows all but
will never tell a soul. Acts ditsy but does it to
find out what is going on.
Shell enjoys climbing and watching fireflies in the
lake.

WALTER
CHARACTERISTICS
Walter is misunderstood because he is so big.
Everyone is scared if him but he just wants
to make friends. He is very emotional and gets
worked up easily
Frankie enjoys hanging out with his family and
adventuring.

DYNAMICS
The forest consists of loads of different creatures
that create a magical place to live. Frankie and Pennie
worship their partners in crime and the partners know
it and take full advantage of it. The side characters all
have their own personality creating different stresses and
tension but they all love each other deep dowm.

Here we have the blueprints for Frankie and Froggy’s
house. All very cluttered not a lot of breathing room.
They sleep in one hammock that takes up the entire room.
Clothes are sprawled across the room and they have a tiny
eating area that doubles as the kitchen too.
Nothing to cover the
door and they have
engraved their names
and messages on the
wood. The build
is unsecure and tied
together with vines.
Their home is sheltered and out of the way like they are hiding. There is constantly a fire and
wood sprawled out around their home as they do not clean up. They also live beside the lake. It
is a lot more close quarters than Pennie’s and Pebble’s. There are mushrooms because it is a damp
area but not a lot of nice wild flowers.

This is the blueprint for Pennie and Pebble’s
house, very simple and organised. She has flowers
on the table, her bed is always made and she has
a clear kitchen area.
Their home from the outside,
very simple structure with
two massive leaves that act
as a curtain for her entrance.
They have a nice plaque to let
everyone know who’s home it
is.
Here is their home with the environment around it. I wanted theirs to be surrounded with
wildflowers and mushrooms and to be clear of any clutter. It is a very open area with a river
flowing behind it.

Here I have tried to
show what Pennie and
Pebbles hut would look
like throughout the day.
I didnt want to add
too much extra detail
to keep it simple and
more cost effective. I
tried to make their
surroundings more
in tune with their
personalities also by
surrounding her with
wild flowers and being
close to the river.
This is Frankie and
Froggies Home. Again,
I have subtly changed
the sky colour and the
highlights to show
different times in the
day. In the episodes
there will not be a lot
of time changing for
each one but maybe one
episode would be during
the day and another at
night.
I tried to surround
their home with things
to fit their
personalities like the
fire and more shelter.
They also live by the
lake.

I wanted the flowers
to look like doodles
that a kid could make
in their notebooks so
tried to keep them as
simple as possible but
still make them feel like
they are part of the
environment.
I used refernce photos of
mushrooms and tried to put
the illustrative style for this
TV series on them. The added
details make them unique and
add to the environments.
I tried to think of
different species of
flowers so that there
is a lot of variation and
to make them feel more
wild.

This is a map of the forest, we have the lake to the right hand side and the river flowing down
the left hand side. Pennie’s house is top left and Frankies is bottom right.
Here are a bunch of different leaves and bushes to help
bulk up the environments and to add depth. All very
simple and are like doodles a child could draw.

EPISODE SYNOPSES
Tour Around Frankie’s Hut: Introducing you to Frankie and Froggy home, their favourite
belongings, snacks. We find out how the two met and how they communicate.
Coming Across Pennie: Frankie and Froggy go on a scavenger hunt and make sure everything is still
in place in the forest, until they hear a girl speaking and peek through to see Pennie talking about
to Pebble her pigeon friend. Pebble does not hesitate to attack.
War Is On: War has started between the two pairs and they have to set challenges to find out
who will be crowned king of the forest. The challenges consist of building fires, huts, catching fish
and seeing who can find the best bird watching spots.
Feast Of Champions: After not being able to come to a conclusion on how won the crown to be king
of the castle the two pairs tuck into their grub by the fire.
Whale Arrival: A new character Hedge comes onto the scene in terror hides in one of their shelters
as they eat their dinner. Unsure of what is happening Frankie and Pennie start their interogation.
Fear in the Forest: Rumbles in the forest, trees start collapsing and animals are running around in
fear. Pennie and Frankie investigate when they find a lost whale swimming through the skies
knocking down trees.
Teaming Up: They set down their inital plans and try to get more information out of the woodland
creatures.
Get A Tour Around Pennie’s Home: Neutral meeting spot declared, they sit down to devise a plan
when Froggy and Pebble cannot find common ground. The tensions run high as they try to work out
how to get rid of the whale.
Pet Fight! Struggles To Save The Forest: Struggling to work as a team and set tasks for each
other. The sidekicks finally snap and get into a fight, where Frankie and Pennie must confront
them.
Failed Attempt: They have their first encounter with the whale where they try to lasso a rope
around him to guide him out of the forest. The whale takes it as an attack and lashes out as they
cannot get the rope around him. The forest suffers for it.
Victory!: Their second plan is to try and talk to the whale and see what he wants. They must
devise a way to make themselves visible for the whale to see them from the sky and wakl him out
of the forest.
Getting the Forest Back on Track: After an eventful couple of days it is time to clean up the mess that the whale
has left behind, all the woodland creatures chip in and Pebble and Froggy finally start to get a long.

EXT. Forest
Eating their dinner, they hear a rumble and a big bang like a tree has just fallen. They
both stare straight at each other both curious. Next there is a stampede of different
animals and creatures terrified running away from the sound.
Pennie
What was that?
SAMPLE SCRIPT
Episode Four: Whale Arrival
Watching the animals continue to run past, Pennie and Frankie look at each other in agree
ment that they need to investigate. Pebble and Froggy both look at each other in fear not
wanting to join them in their plans. A scared hedgehog is hiding in one of the shelters, so
they go to ask what he saw.
Hedge
It was a whale! I don’t know how it go here.
Frankie and Pennie
Are you sure?
Another rumble is heard in the forest and Hedge shivers in fear. Frankie and Pennie both
nod heads and go out to investigate and ask other animals what just happened. Each animal
has the same answer and terror in their eyes with everything they need to know they go to
plan their next steps.

RESEARCH
Manu Montoya is one of the artists I came across when trying to find inspiration for my TV
series style, I love the flat drawings a long with added texture to bring them more to life. Her

Kew Gardens Project is one I came across when
trying to find background style that fit with
my vision. I like the contrast in colours and the
textures around each shape. All of the layers are
flat but you do feel like you are being sucked into
a world with these images.

Ana Duna is another artist that I liked, I want to go with child like illustrations with simple
shapes and faces and then add textures and shapes to bring them to life. I like the simple
flowers and leaves she has designed as they look like a kid could draw them in their notebooks.
