In this <strong>Focus</strong> <strong>20</strong> online programme, you will be given<br />

the tools to master the fundamental principles<br />

of pet bereavement and the physical, emotional<br />

and psychological effects on all practice staff and<br />

clients.<br />

With guidance from a Module Tutor, you will learn<br />

which practical steps and techniques to use to<br />

support those around you and the owners of a pet<br />

during this difficult time.<br />

SMALL ANIMAL NEPHROLOGY<br />

ISVPS Foundation Certificate (FCert)<br />

The <strong>Focus</strong> <strong>20</strong> online programme in small animal<br />

nephrology was designed to provide veterinary<br />

surgeons from all backgrounds with the latest<br />

clinical updates and cutting-edge research involving<br />

the kidney. You will cover a wide range of topics,<br />

including the approach to acute kidney injury,<br />

management of chronic kidney disease including<br />

phosphorous binders and the latest nutritional<br />

strategies, rational approach to antimicrobial use<br />

for pyelonephritis, an update on neoplasia of the<br />

kidneys, indications for renal replacement therapies<br />

including haemodialysis, and more. The programme<br />

will also deliver updates on cutting-edge nephrology<br />

topics, including mineral and bone disorders,<br />

idiopathic renal haematuria, CRGV (cutaneous and<br />

renal glomerular vasculopathy) and the potential<br />

links between morbillivirus and chronic kidney<br />

disease in cats.<br />

club session critically evaluating a few recently<br />
