ISVPS QUALIFICATIONS 

ISVPS General Practitioner Advanced Certificate (GPAdvCert) 

Programmes suited for more experienced veterinarians. With an advanced qualification, you

recognition in your field. 

ISVPS General Practitioner Certificate (GPCert) 

A qualification designed for first opinion veterinary surgeons who wish to develop their 

knowledge. You will gain new valuable skills and approach cases much more confidently. Many of 

the GPCert qualifications also count towards the RCVS Advanced Practitioner’ status award. 

ISVPS Foundation Certificate (FCert) 

The FCert is aimed at veterinary surgeons and nurses at every stage of their career, including

Postgraduate Certificate (PgC) 

To gain this qualification, you will need to complete additional assessments and/or modules 

with Harper Adams University to gain the university recognised PgC and 60 transferable academic 

credits. 

Postgraduate Diploma (PgD) 

If you already hold a PgC in the relevant discipline, complete two additional assessments 

and two further modules with Harper Adams University to gain a PgD in Advanced Veterinary

ARTHROSCOPY TECHNIQUES IN SMALL ANIMAL 

PRACTICE 

CLINICAL COMMUNICATION SKILLS 



This Focus 20 programme in Arthroscopy will appeal 

to those small animal vets interested in developing 

their endoscopic skills to diagnose and treat joint 

diseases. 

You will cover instrumentation for arthroscopy in 

small animal practice, identify normal arthroscopic 

anatomy, and diseases that can be diagnosed and 

managed with arthroscopy of the forelimb and 

hindlimb. This arthroscopy programme will also help 

you to improve patient assessment together with 

any anaesthesia and analgesia considerations. 

The programme will be delivered in our brandnew 

state-of-the-art training facilities in Frankfurt, 

Germany, as a highly practical course based 

primarily in the wet lab with supporting lectures and 

group discussions. 

Before attending the programme, you will receive 

an online module comprising an introduction to 

arthroscopy. Then you’ll be able to use the latest 

equipment in the wet-lab facility to test your skills 

so you can feel confident in your clinical work.

The Small Animal Practice Foundation Focus 20 

programme is a brand-new course covering the 

fundamental areas of veterinary medicine and 

surgery. If you are relatively new to practice, have 

had a career break or are transitioning from other 

fields of veterinary practice into life as a small 

animal vet, this is the course for you! 

This unique and comprehensive programme will 

provide a blended learning approach from hands-on 

practical sessions within a small group environment, 

to face to face theory sessions and additional online 

lessons covering key topics will be available. This 

programme is aimed at enabling you to develop your 

consulting and practical skills confidently and safely 

with the support of leading experts in their field.

Focus 20 programme, the core subjects of pain and 

analgesia, anaesthesia equipment and monitoring, 

anaesthetic drugs and fluid therapy, plus managing

complicated, the special considerations modules will
