Basil and Mandarin.
Ofrece frescura gracias a
¿Ya has hecho tu selección?

Left to right, Coffee & Cigarettes · Shadows · Pulp Fiction · Satiricon
1993: “Coffee and Cigarettes”.
historia. Bueno... realmente no hay historia, no hay hilo
argumental.
Estética=transformación social.
que he realizado”.
Never Can Tell”.
nuevo
by Ana López Puertas

With water as their element, choose the blue and green
their clothes because they opt for soft gauze and very
malleable tissues wich reminds ocean waves. The
mystery is revealed by their complements, somewhat
LONDON
Left to right, Candem Town · Harrods, Knightsbridge · Covent Garden · Oxford Street
Oxford Street
and Spencer.

gran zona comercial: Knightsbridge.
¿quién sabe a quién te puedes encontrar aquí?
Para saber más de Knightsbridge:

Covent Garden

Man returns
Pages 32 - 49
Came the big moment, to live the longest nights and
endearing of the year end, why not, to enjoy the most fun
and romantic. Conquer by the perfume is an art and if there
is one word that defines fashionable men’s fragrances
is seduction, so we invite you to discover what the male
scents with which you will become the most irresistible man
2013. From left to right ... Here’s our proposal!
We start with a classic: Dior Homme Intense. Take is like
wear a tuxedo. It is a perfume specially designed for the
bravest. Nocturnal intense, sophisticated and sensual. Stay
with their keys: Heart of iris flower, subtle tones of musk,
hibiscus seeds and Virginia cedar. In short, masculine and
sophisticated.
Another magical gift is Boss Bottled. A fragrance that
is characterized by the balance between their fresh top
notes, based geranium and clove and other background,
decidedly masculine, like sandalwood, vetiver and cedar.
The british accent puts our selection of signature Jo
Malone. The chosen fragrance is unisex and is called Lime
Basil and Mandarin. The gift box is perfect to give away at
such a special occasion such as the holidays. Additionally,
we invite you to know the perfect scent for the mood your
house. It’s Surround Scent Diffuser. Made with essence of
pine and eucalyptus. With it you get your home smell like a
Christmas tree.
Bottled in electric blue bottle, we present another perfume,
this one with an American accent. Ralph Lauren Polo Blue.
It is a fragrance aimed at a young man fascinated by the
beauty. Give thanks to the freshness clary sage and a
background of delicate and sensual woods.
Now we give you the VIP pass for a night under the sign
of the origin of life: water clear, Issey Miyake’s hand. Leau
d’Issey pour Homme is made of mandarin, coriander, yuzu,
lemony verbena and sage, all power provocative notes and
prompt feelings.
And we end with another delightful scent of Chanel hand.
Aroma is ideal for a rebellious spirit. It is the praise of man
and his freedom. Written by the creator of this French brand
perfumes, Jacques Poige, essence bottle enclosed in a
dense black, olfactory displays three acts: the first is cool,
thanks to citrus, pink pepper and vetiver. The second, is
energizing, for grapefruit, cedar and labdanum and third, no
doubt, the culmination of the senses, with incense, ginger
and sandalwood as protagonists.
BEAUTY TIME!
Scent of a woman
The scene will be perfect... a dream dress, high heels,
jewelry, sophisticated makeup and party hairstyle and, of
course, an unmistakable aroma. Analyze what you intend to
achieve with your essence, choose well and hit to succeed.
We start from left to right with the latest release of the
signature Balenciaga, whose bottle created by former
creative director of the brand Nicolas Guesquiere, called
Florabotanica. Its package looks more like a piece of haute
couture that a simple bottle. The name of the fragrance
alludes to the mysterious greenhouses full of rare flowers
and the scent, spectacular! Another classic infallible to
seduce is J’Adore Dior perfume written about the essence
of flowers. Tangerine, damask rose and neroli essence are
the basis of one essence with one of the most coveted
beauty packaging world.
For inveterate romantic, nothing like a few drops of For
Her, perfume of the designer Narciso Rodriguez. With this
fragrance can enhance your sensuality. Another must have
in the world of high-end perfume is the first fragrance of
Italian brand Bottega Veneta. Its floral scent with notes of
leather skins reminded their magnificent leather skins that
characterize the pieces of their collections of prêt à porter.
Coco Noir is a luxury to live up to the par excellence fashion
house Chanel. A fragrance for women fleeing the norm,
exhibitionism and vulgarity.
One of the most controversial releases of the year was
the perfume of the queen of the show: Lady Gaga. She
confesses that her fragrance The Fame is made from a
sample of semen and her blood. She says it’s like to take
her to the skin... Please provide yourself!
The perfect seductor
by Clara Courel
It is said that the best way to end the year is with red
underwear, though it really is a game of seduction that
knows much Agent Provocateur signature. Hand in hand
with this amatory art expert label we told you all the tricks
to finish your holiday the best way.
From left to right, step by step through all their flagship
products. The first thing to do is to prepare our skin and
that the label offers Bubble Luscious, a gel containing all
the ingredients of sensuality and rich in natural extracts like
honey, to give a soft and velvety finish. Glamour Body is a
body lotion that contains exquisite ingredients to make our
skin smooth and with a touch of sparkle.
Smell is one of the things that attracts, and the sense of
smell awakens our senses. Two are the queens of the
crown, first AP Parfum it is a classic synonymous with
seduction, pleasure and provocation that achieved with
the pure saffron oil from India, Moroccan rose oil, Egyptian
jasmine, French magnolia oil , amber and musk. On the
other side it is more enigmatic Provocateur Maitresse Eau,
a mix of fresh and floral. A base of amber, sandalwood and
Tonka accompanied by green notes of Acacia and green
Granny Smith apple.
L’agent Titillation is the true star, a product suitable only
for the most daring, two-step with only one purpose,
excitement. Derrière Balm is specially formulated to help
give shape and define your buttocks. The combination of
moisturizing oils of avocado and caffeine works effectively
to help lift and revitalize.
Décolleté Balm is the other part that is intended for the
décolletage and helps tone and firm the breasts. Avocado
oil and Jojoba give your bust a much more sexy.
And the best part is always left to the end and that is, as is
well known, one of the most sensual and the most enjoyed
are the lips. AP Lip Balm is designed to create enthusiasm
and excitement, as well as increasing the volume of your
lips and an irresistible fragrance is a must for your seduction
ritual.
From day to night
There is a perfume for every personality and that is, there
are so many personality types as fragrances according
to our lifestyle. And there are so many types of smell as
different types of party, choose which is more adapted to
your lifestyle and character.
Here are from left to right perfumes and cosmopolitan
younger market. The first fragrance from lebanese designer
Elie Saab is signed with his own name and as if one of his
couture creations it were it is delicate and goes especially
dedicated to the most exclusive. The heart of this fragrance
is like a bouquet of white flowers among which orange
blossom mixed with gardenia and mandarin flower.
Flower Bomb is another par excellence floral fragrance that
reflects the personality of the creators Viktor & Rolf. Does
its smell? A very modern bouquet, bergamot with jasmine
sambac, catleya orchídea and centifolia roses are their shrill
ingredients.
For a more romantic and feminine woman is created the new
fragrance from Chloé. Love, which is the name the prefume,
consists in its base notes with rice powder, talc, lily and
musk, and its top notes orange blossom and pink pepper.
A delicate powdery smell with a vintage look. A classic is
Eau d’Issey, created by Japanese designer Iseey Miyake in
1992. It is a unique fragrance, complex in its essence, but
minimalist and contemporary, very captivating thanks to its
floral notes mixed woody and mossy.
The master Giorgio Armani knows what a woman strong
and character need and Armani Code was created for her. A
modern elixir a disturbing and sublime femininity. Top notes
that revolve around the peel of two types of orange: bitter
orange from Africa and one species from Italy. The middle
notes are displayed with Tunisian orange blossom that gives
it a subtle charm, and floral scents of jasmine Sambac. The
base notes are sensual orange blossom and persistent
through the alliance of vanilla and a touch of honey.
And the wild side goes along CK One Shock, one of the
most modern perfume market, has the natural and inherent
challenge of the younger generation. Unlike the mythical
Ck One sock version is not shared. In its composition the
heart reveals sweet and soft notes of blackberry, jasmine,
narcissus and also claimed a slight chocolate note. The
fund, a little oriental, combines amber, vanilla, patchouli and
musk. All these ingredients are mixed with master perfumer
Laurent le Guernec.
WITH Ana
Ureña
While they are very common in the 1st row and they appear in
every significant event on the fashion business, sometimes
we don’t really know who they are. In this article, we are
going to take a closer look at those people who create the
world of fashion, to better understand our crazy life.
Ana Ureña is a journalist and a fashion expert, and is
currently contributing in one of the most important journals
of Spain.
Nevertheless, her beginnings were very different because
she studied International Affairs in London. She used that
carrier as a basis because she knew she didn’t want to
pursue that path on the future. Her passion, since she was
little, was fashion thanks to the fact that her mother and
aunt were models back in the 70s. They were the Surianni
sisters.
As we enter her intimate space we realize that every detail
we find inside her home, reveals the main characteristic of
her personality: the stile.
CAPTION: CHANEL JACKETS
She and her mother are addicted to the pieces of la maison
Chanel and there is no issue that those are the most precious
clothes of her wardrobe. The Chanel handbag collection
she owns is anyone’s desire.
«The inside of the red vintage handbag faded, so I sent it
to Paris to be changed. They returned me the bad as good
as new. I don’t know what they did but they are capable of
seeking the best solution», explains Ureña, exited about her
fetish brand.
CAPTION: SHELVE BAG FENDI AND BLUE SANDALS.
The huge library of the living room is full of fashion books
together with the classical authors of the International
literature. «When I fist arrive here I sorted the books by
colours, I need harmony among things», explains Ana.
by Javier de Juanas
Pages 58 - 67
CAPTION: SEQUINS (Dresses and handbag Dolce &
Gabbana, blouse Alvarno and shoes Cesare Paciotti).
Although Ana is quite sober, there are some pieces that
dazzle, such as for example a blouse by Alvarno or a minibag,
Sicily design, by Dolce & Gabbana.
CAPTION: HANDBAGS (Loewe above, Louis Vuitton and
Hermès below)
The handbags are her greatest passion and she has the
best essentials, such as the Hèrmes Birkin, the Louis Vuitton
Speedy and the Loewe Amazona, next to a paper version,
that is a funny gift the Spanish brand gave to the attendants
in one of their fashion shows in Paris.
CAPTION: BUDHA (All the costume jewellery by Oh My
God)
Great friend of the Nicolás family is an unconditional fan of
one of their brands, the Oh My God jewellery that has the
creations of Patricia Nicolás.
I DONT UNDERSTAND PEOPLE WHO
WORKS IN FASHION INDUSTRY CAN
Jim Jarmusch, currently one of the great directors of American
indie cinema, shot a short in 1993: “Coffee and Cigarettes”. To
the surprise of many people won the Palme d’Or at Cannes.
A decade later shot several shorts of the same kind. The
theme was unusual, people drinking coffee and smoking
cigarettes in a nasty, dirty and decrepit bar. The conversations
of the characters that are in the cafeteria are hilarious and
nonsensical. We are left in no man’s land on what is known as
the typical story. Through static shots, dry cuts, use of black
and white obtuse tell us ... a no story.
Well ... really no story, no plot. The characters appear in different
sketches talking about what would be anti-arguments: a waiter
constantly interrupting his client without more, an impending
dental appointment one forces him to take quick coffee, make
anEnglish tea , a nonexistent rock band, conspiracy theories
against Elvis Presley or the use of nicotine as an insecticide.
Jim Jarmusch grouped all the episodes in the form of a
film (???). Yep, the dramatic and comedic characterizations
is a reflection of social behavior patterns. And the fact that
everything is so decadent stresses the author’s message.
Cinema = emotion. Emotion = shape. Shape = Aesthetics.
Aesthetics = social transformation.
I think this simple axioms sequence opens a dilemma between
the art form and the business. It is well known the immense
social power of cinema. Mass culture has been the largest
door sound consumption of images for over many decades.
And, therefore, patterns and icons of design aesthetics, image,
music and fashion are in the audiovisual medium. This has
been a source of business since the beginning of the medium.
The truth is that we have all seen in the cinema hundreds of
films of poor quality, with hackneyed stereotypes in the script.
Again the same story! On top of the quality of the players is
contemptible and the audio and visual clichés condemn us
to boredom. Is the filmmakers call the Serie B, a term first
used in Hollywood (back in the 30s) to productions destined
consumer entertainment, at a cost considerably low and
seedy and decadent aesthetics.
Many independent filmmakers have adapted these archetypes
of “bad movie” to independent productions. It is very curious:
have successfully changed the forms of expression to
enhance the expression itself. But it is not contradictory, often
employing traditional narrative forms awakens new interest in
them, especially if adapted to present day. I would say it is like
a “glamor-kitsch-vintage” or “retro-amorphic-current”
John Cassavetes, another major independent film, debuted
with “Shadows” (1959), a brilliant film where there was no
written script. Cassavetes was a pioneer of directing actors
with his method of improvisation, allowing him to carry out the
development of the characters from the scene at the same
time. The chaotic environment, wild and powerful touch with
New York underground, this movie stood as a landmark in
style, and was a very big influence future. The music of jazz
bassist Charles Mingus, with a touch of fashion style section
at the time, is a brutal reinforcement to highlight the essence
of “Shadows”.
Federico Fellini, King of mockery and sarcasm, is also owner
of the kitsch and the destruction of the pretentious. His film
“Satyricon” based on the novel of Petronius, shows the
recoil of the worldliness of the Roman era, while reflecting
the absurdity of our behavior today. The narrative appears
unstructured, chaotic and rhythmic intensity changes that
tend to surprise. The moral ideas presented ridicule narrative
action and, consequently, disassemble the action. The history
starts very similarly to the novel, but with a fantasy. Two boys
become involved in stories that trigger each other, linking
events with dialogues demoralizing and ruining any ideological
approach. The fact that the assembly of the planes is as messy
as a metaphor to explain the breakdown of society, where the
human being is seduced by his lack of culture and idealizes
stupidities with which believes getting her own pleasure.
The influence of “Fando and Lis” by Alejandro Jodorowsky,
is remarkable. Looks like Fellini saw this film in Rome, in
1969, before the production of “Satyricon”. It’s a cult film that
everyone should see, especially if someone really wants to
think. In the 90s, the American cinema revolution came with
Quentin Tarantino, the paraphrase genius and master molds
adapt aesthetic past to the present day. Just as Fellini did with
“Satyricon”, created Tarantino film epics, but modern. Such is the
case of “Pulp Fiction”. With a bright and segmented own script
(I think that one of the best ever written), has amoral passion
about protagonists full of uncertainty, which become involved in
the most bizarre situations.
The key to this great awesome movie is the result of an homage
to pop-art culture that generated characters like gangsters
anachronistic, ie lifelong gangsters but today. Using eclectic
elements is voracious and allows Tarantino to give a distinctive
taste to the construction of each of the protagonists. In fact, he
once stated: “I have stolen from every movie I’ve seen and done.”
The poignancy of the story is reflected in the vision obscene and
disorderly shown in action. And of course, the music of the 60s
and 70s, gives a retro feel to Chuck Berry with “You Never Can
Tell”.
Do not you agree that, at times, beauty is in the chaotic, dirty
and old fashioned? Sometimes comes well injection of these
elements to support your feet well on the ground and able to
think a little more clearly.

What is Kitsch? Besides being one of the most difficult words
to understand, is a term that has always been associated with
this kind of definitions: «art consider as an inferior copy of an
existing style», «pretentious, old-fashioned, easily marketable
and tawdry art» or «desire to pretend». As you can see, the
Kitsch style has being synonym of cheap, ugly or tawdry for
years. How many times we have finished a cutting remark with
an extremely worn-out «is so Kitsch», thinking that we were the
twentieth century Denis Diderot.
Let me tell you that those times ended; nowadays, describe
something as Kitsch it doesn’t have to be associated with the
waving golden Chinese cat or with Paz Padilla’s home in the
series “Mis adorables vecinos”. The design takes many twist
and turns at high speed. Those of us who devote ourselves to
the fashion world we learn, over time, to never ever say that
something is ugly, because we all know that one day we will
probably regret. The Kitsch, after living in the deepest stylistics
misery, has re-surfaced from its ashes becoming one of the
most innovative and wanted styles on today’s scene. There are
so many clubs, hotels and brands that have used this particular
aesthetics to create a unique, funny and fresh personality.
If we surf on the Internet we will find the very pure Kitsch,
exposed on a striking Madonna Inn Spa and a bucolic remix
with naïve elements as for example in La Casita de Wendi.
by Ana López Puertas
From all the possible aspects of this controversial style, it is the
last one that I will talk about in this coverage.
The Kisch-naïve has been one of the strongest decorative
factors of the last years. By mixing two styles that are so
different has made the style softer and with more personality.
Therefore, I will give you all the keys to achieve that hereafter:
where to inspire ourselves, who has it, how to combine it and
above all, where to buy it.
Inspire yourself!
To get some ideas here in Rude Magazine we are going to
The blogger Elsie Larson’s house, famous for her blog a
beautiful Mess, and a benchmark for the followers of the
Kitsch-naïve style.
The team of La Casita de Wendy has transformed its studio
in a special place, which characterizes this beautiful brand.
Furthermore, if you want to become craft maniacs, you can join
some wonderful courses they do.
To mix a Kitsch style, you have to know its most pure and
extreme version. There is nothing more extreme than the
Madonna Inn Spa. The Madonna Inn Spa is a hotel in which the
most impossible Kitsch style is found in every corner. It is too

much for a house but is perfect to make a crazy short brake
and particularly original.
Where?
The key of this style lies on the decorative elements, wall
coverings, colors and tapestries. The more you mix it, the
better. Nothing further from the words of Mies Van Der Rohe,
«less is more». So if you want to know the keys to achieve a
true space, please note down.
