Sacrament of Reconciliation: (Confession) every Saturday
at 3:15 at STA, 7:00PM at MHN, First Saturday of the
month at 12 noon at MHN, and by appointment.
Infant Baptism: Call the office to schedule Baptismal Class
and date for Baptism.
Adult Baptism: The R.C.I.A. program serves the needs of
adults who wish to become Catholic. Call office for
information.
Holy Eucharist: Available for those unable to attend Mass.
Call the office and the Eucharist will be brought to any shut-in.
Anointing of the Sick: Available for those who are sick at
home (Priest will come) or anticipating surgery, priest will
anoint after the 6PM Mass and after the 11AM Mass every
weekend.

Second Sunday of Easter

here and see my
hands, and bring
your hand and put it
into my side, and do
not be unbelieving,
but believe."
The Second Sunday of Easter, known as Divine Mercy Sunday was instituted
by Pope John Paul II. Saint Faustina records in her diary that
Jesus said, “the Feast of Mercy was a refuge and shelter for all souls,
and especially for poor sinners” (Diary 699) Jesus said “On the day of
My feast, the Feast of Mercy, you will go through the whole world and
bring fainting souls to the spring of My mercy. I shall heal and
strengthen them”.) (Diary 206). I certainly encourage prayers and
your enthusiasm for the Faith to be directed, especially for those
searching for real meaning in their lives. May the mercy of the Risen
Lord reach out to all!
Divine Mercy Direct Me
Eternal God, Goodness itself, whose
mercy is incomprehensible to every
intellect, whether human or angelic,
help me, your feeble child, to do Your
holy will as You make it known to me. I
desire nothing but to fulfill God's desires.
Lord, here is my soul and my
body, my mind and my will, my heart
and all my love. Direct me according to
Your eternal plan. Amen

Thirteen Tuesday Novena
The Annual Thirteen Tuesday Novena in
Honor of St. Anthony of Padua has begun.
This Tuesday will be week 5. The
Novena will continue each Tuesday
through June 12, the Tuesday before the
feast day of St. Anthony. Mass and Novena
is held at 8:30 am. Novena and Benediction is
held at 7:30 pm. Many people from all over the Pittsburgh
area attend this Novena, come and be a part of
a long tradition.
First Communion Parent / Child Meeting
Just a reminder that the parent / child
meeting for First Holy Communion is
Tuesday, April 17 at 7:00 pm in the
Saint Aloysius social hall. This is an
important meeting for both the children
and their parents. At this meeting we will be baking
bread together. Please remember to bring a mixing
bowl, measuring cups, and measuring spoons. If you
have any questions please call Steve Swank at 412-
759-9835.
Confirmation
The 8th Graders from our parishes will
make their Confirmation on May 3rd at
Most Holy Name Church, along with the
8th graders from Holy Spirit and St.
Nicholas Parishes. All candidates
should plan to attend the following:

Baby Bottle Amnesty
Full or Empty…No questions Asked!
We know that they are out
there...lurking in the inky shadows,
perched on top of the dryer, rolling around
on the floor of your car...and just like that
library book you checked out in February,
your Baby Bottle is embarrassingly overdue.
Have no fear. You see, each of those bottles
cost about $1.25 and we recycle them over and over.
So even empty bottles help us reduce our overhead.
Please return your bottle to your parish, or one of the
5 location of the Women’s Choice Network.

ST. ALOYSIUS VOLUNTEER
APPRECIATION LUNCHEON
The Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon will be held at
the Holiday Inn on McKnight Road on Sunday, May
20, 2012 from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. All volunteers
(children through adult) who wish to attend the luncheon
please come to the Administration Building during
normal office hours to pick up your ticket. Volunteer
tickets are paid by St. Aloysius Church to thank
you for your generous gifts of time and talents to our
parish. Volunteers may bring guests (spouse, child,
mom, dad, etc.). Guest prices are as follows: Children
5 years of age and under are free, child guests
(age 6 to 12) $11, and adult guests (age 13 and up)
are $22. Please come to the Administration Bldg. to
buy guest tickets.
Protecting God’s Children Class
will be held on Saturday, May 5th at Holy Spirit,
Millvale. The class starts at 11:00 AM in the School
Cafeteria. Please call Cathy at Holy Spirit at
412-821-4424 after 1:00 PM for more information
or to register.

contains 4 tickets. Each ticket costs $5.00 and is good

Spaghetti Dinner Tickets
The Christian Mothers will start selling tickets for the
Spaghetti Dinner the weekend of April 21st & 22nd.
The Spaghetti Dinner will take place on
Sunday, June 3rd. From 2 PM—6 PM in the
Social Hall. Tickets will cost $9.00 for Adults and
$6.00 Children 12 and Under. For more information or

Rivers Casino Trip Fundraiser
sponsored by the St. Aloysius Christian
Mothers will be held on Friday, May 11th.
Cost of the trip is $20.00 and you will get
back $15.00 in free play, and $5.00 in
food. The bus will leave St. Aloysius parking lot at
10:00 AM and then stop at the ESB Bank on Troy Hill
for another pick up. We will leave the Casino at 3:30

The Christian Mothers & Women’s Guild will hold their
annual Mothers Day Party on Wednesday, May 2, at

Thank you to all who in any way volunteered and gave

Dinners - $5,200; Hidden Treasures - $4,500; Craft
Show - $2,000. These are approximate amounts.

Join us for a wonderful evening full of good food and

Name will hold a Croatian Dinner from 4-8 pm in the
