Paris is the capital and most populous city of France, with an estimated population of 2,21 million
residents. The area of Paris is more than 105 km² (41 sq miles). For many centuries, Paris has
been one of the most important world centres of economy, gastronomy, science or fashion. The
gorgeous city of Paris is split into 20 suburbs. Paris is therefore one of the most visited cities
worldwide. You have a choice to visit from more than 210 theatres and more than 160 interesting
museums. You can also enjoy your drink or meal in more 10,000 cafes and restaurants. The total
number of Paris bridges is 37. The highest point is Montmartre with 130 m (426 feet) offering
spectacular views of the many suburbs.On top, Paris is the centre of the region and province of Illede-France
or Paris Region, with an estimated population of 12,3 million. Paris is divided by the
river Seine into Rive gauche (left bank) and Rive droite (right bank).Locals are known in English as
the "Parisians".The city of Paris is also a very important transport centre. You can arrive to Paris
via two international airports. The first on is Paris–Charles de Gaulle and the second on is
Paris–Orly. The Paris underground system was opened back in the year 1900 and the subway is
also called the Paris Metro. Paris metro has 16 lines and 308 stations. Furthermore, city of Paris is
very well known due to its architectural jewels and many beautiful museums. Firstly, I must also
mention the Eiffel Tower that was constructed for the Paris Universal Exposition of 1889. The
height is 324 m (1063 feet) and is just steps from Trocadero hill. The weight is 10 011 tons of
steel. Talking about the museums, I must not forget about the Louvre museum where you can find
the picture of Mona Lisa by Leonardo da Vinci, further Musee Monet and also Musee d'Orsay that
are famous for their collections of art. The futuristic Pompidou Centre has a very wide collection of
modern art. The Musee Picasso and Musee Rodin show the works of the world famous local
artists. Another famous place is the Cathedral of Notre Dame de Paris that is being renovated after
the fire. Further, do not forget to go to the Grand Palais and Petit Palais, built for the Paris
Universal Exposition of 1900. Do not forget to visit the Arc de Triomphe on the Champs-Elysees,
and the hill of Montmartre with its artistic history, shops, restaurants and its gorgeous white
Basilica of Sacre-Coeur offering great view of Paris. Do not miss Les Invalides, where the tomb of
Napoleon Bonaparte is located. The Pantheon is located on Left Bank of the Seine. Other top
places to mention are Place de la Concorde to Grande Arche of La Defense, the financial district
of Paris. I also recommend to go up to the top of Tour Montparnasse offering panoramic views of
Paris.As to accommodation, in Paris you can find over 2,000 hotels, including over 100 five-star
hotels, with a total capacity of over 120,000 rooms. If you are on the budget or you want the best,
