Lenny Gill was born and brought up into a working class family in mid
1950s Merseyside. This memoir traces his childhood in Old Swan and
Huyton and his schooldays in at a Grammar school run by Jesuits in
Liverpool. Lenny met his wife at seventeen and joined the Police after
his A Levels foregoing a University place for love.This book outlines
the ups and downs of a thirty year career in the British Police and his
subsequent second career working in conflict afflicted countries for the
British Foreign Office, the United Nations and the International Red
Cross across Africa, and the Middle East.Lenny in his wife brought up
