learning around other commitments. Adult learning is about
gaining new skills and new knowledge, and at Shipley College

This 2023/24 Part Time Course Guide will outline the many
courses we have available for adults. They are broadly split
into ‘qualifications’ and ‘lifestyle and leisure’.
Qualifications courses are linked to a current or future job role.
We are a big part of the Local Skills Improvement Plan, so have
an array of courses that link to what we know local employers
are looking for, in areas we know are growing (see page 9).
