NOTES FROM NETJETS INSIDE TRACK ALEXANDER UITENBROEK DIRECTOR OF CUSTOMER SERVICE JULIAN RENTZSCH NETJETS BY THE NUMBERS OWNERS AND EMPLOYEES 11,000+ NETJETS OWNERS WORLDWIDE With 8,400-plus in the US and nearly 3,000 in Europe NEARLY 7,500 EMPLOYEES WORLDWIDE managing each flight down to the finest detail. (This includes nearly 4,000 pilots) WHAT IS YOUR ROLE AT NETJETS? My role is to ensure the smooth delivery of the NetJets experience across the Customer Service Teams, working hand in hand with our colleagues in Operations to provide the best possible results for our Owners. WHAT DOES YOUR NORMAL DAY CONSIST OF? I wear multiple hats throughout the day. I always start the morning with an overview of how the day is shaping up to be, both in my teams and within the operation in general. If there are any concerns on this front, I first assure these are being attended to. Following this, the day can take many different forms, whether focusing on any possible disruption, providing guidance to the teams, reviewing the departmental plan for the years ahead, discussing digital transformation and project development and more. Effectively, every day is different! WHAT IS THE BIGGEST CHALLENGE YOU FACE IN YOUR ROLE? The service oversight of our flights and several different departments within the Customer Service area is no easy feat – all the nuances and developments in each forum certainly pose a challenge, and I am grateful for the team members I work with to make it possible. That said, the last two to three years have been particularly complex, with topics such as the pandemic creating unique hurdles for us to overcome. Nonetheless, we welcome the challenges, as they only serve to strengthen the business in the long term.
