The Hollybrook Memorial commemorates almost<br />

1,000 servicemen of the army and air forces who<br />

died at sea around the United Kingdom during<br />

the First World War (1914-18) and have no known<br />

grave. Amongst the names are hundreds of South<br />

African Native Labour Corps volunteers and Field<br />

Marshal Lord Kitchener, Secretary of State for War.<br />

RUNNYMEDE MEMORIAL<br />

This magnificent memorial commemorates<br />

more than 20,000 service men and women<br />

of the Commonwealth air forces who died<br />

during operations from bases in the United<br />

Kingdom and Northern and Western Europe,<br />

and who have no known grave.<br />

TOWER HILL MEMORIAL<br />

The men and women of the Merchant Navy<br />

sailed on hostile seas during the World Wars to<br />

keep Britain fed and supplied. This memorial,<br />

overlooking the Tower of London in the heart<br />

of the city, commemorates more than 36,000<br />

personnel of the Merchant Navy who have no<br />

grave but the sea.<br />

BROOKWOOD MILITARY CEMETERY<br />

With over 5,000 service personnel commemorated<br />

here, Brookwood is the largest <strong>CWGC</strong> cemetery in<br />

United Kingdom. You can find the graves of men<br />

and women from across the Commonwealth,<br />

as well as American, Belgian, Czechoslovakian,<br />

French, Italian, and Polish war graves.<br />

CHATHAM NAVAL MEMORIAL<br />

This is one of three great naval memorials<br />

built by the <strong>CWGC</strong> in the United Kingdom<br />

to commemorate the missing of the<br />

Royal Navy of the two World Wars. Here<br />

at Chatham, more than 18,500 service<br />

personnel who have no grave but the sea<br />

are named.<br />
