HATFIELD PARK WAR CEMETERY<br />
Upon the outbreak of the Second World War<br />
in 1939, a military hospital was established<br />
at Hatfield House in Hertfordshire. A small<br />
section of the estate was enclosed and used<br />
as a cemetery for the burial of those who<br />
succumbed to illness, wounds, and injury.<br />
Today, Hatfield Park War Cemetery contains<br />
20 graves from the Second World War.<br />
Visitors should go to Hatfield House visitors’<br />
car park. Church Lane, Hatfield, AL9 5HX.<br />

NORWICH (EARLHAM) CEMETERY<br />
This is the final resting place of over 500 service<br />
personnel of the World Wars. Many of the First<br />
World War servicemen here died in military hospitals<br />
located nearby, while most of the burials of the<br />
Second World War are of airmen who served at the<br />
airbases that were established across the region.<br />

WALTON-ON-THE-NAZE (ALL SAINTS)<br />
CHURCHYARD EXTENSION<br />
During the First World War, Harwich Harbour was<br />
a hub for Royal Navy ships on the east coast, and a<br />
Voluntary Aid Detachment convalescent home was<br />
established here. Today, this idyllic Churchyard is the<br />
final resting place of 21 First World War servicemen.<br />
Many of the graves here are marked with distinctive<br />
Admiralty crosses.<br />

The Memorial Gardens, Walton-on-the-Naze,<br />

The city of Cambridge was home to<br />
many hospitals throughout the First<br />
World War (1914-18), while during<br />
the Second World War (1939-45),<br />
airbases were established across<br />
the entire region. Visitors to this<br />
cemetery will find five separate<br />
plots where 180 First World War<br />
and 800 Second World War service<br />
personnel lie at rest.<br />

LOWESTOFT NAVAL MEMORIAL<br />
During the Second World War, Lowestoft was the<br />
base of the Royal Naval Patrol Service (RNPS). This<br />
magnificent memorial, situated overlooking the sea<br />
at Lowestoft, commemorates the 2,400 men of the<br />
RNPS who have no known grave.<br />
