Wildfires,refugees drowning, domestic violence, femicides,hooligan killings, intimidation and aggressions, violationof public space …43 degrees are now a normality, people at the edge oftheir forces become wounded fierce animals, we fight,we watch fighting, we are showing our teeth to thefellow citizens. We still get together against oppressionand injustice, but quickly we turn against each other, ifnot giving up too easy. And this apathy is the greatest ofall tragedies.The photographer is an observer by excellence. But thetime has come to go beyond the fallacy that aphotographer should not intervene under anycircumstances. The time has come to put down thecamera and provide relief, help escape the wildfire, stopthe abuser, mobilize the frightened … in other words,save the “little Sudanese girl from the vulture”._________________________________Michail , Sept23www.moscholios.com3
