Bennett & Wilson plus Dropkick<br />
Hailing from the east coast of<br />
Scotland, Dropkick have<br />
drawn on influences such as Wilco,<br />
Teenage Fanclub and<br />
Tom Petty to produce their own blend<br />
of harmony-driven,<br />
power-pop for well over a decade.<br />
Danny George Wilson and Robin<br />
Bennett have been writing and<br />
performing together on-and-off for<br />
more years than either would care to<br />
admit. From playing on the same<br />
circuit in their respective bands Grand<br />
Drive and Goldrush to Robin and his<br />
brother Joe being early “Champions<br />
of the World” to their recent<br />
acclaimed albums with twelve-string<br />
Rickenbacker and production<br />
maestro Tony Poole under the<br />
monicker “Bennett Wilson Poole”.<br />
The Wireless Revolution is the band’s<br />
most immediate and concise set of<br />
recorded songs, showcasing their love<br />
of chiming, jangly guitars and tight,<br />
layered vocal harmonies.<br />
Bennett Wilson & Poole's 2018 festival<br />
show was one of our favourites. We<br />
are glad to have at least two thirds of<br />
them back playing this year. We will<br />
however miss the sweet sound of Tony<br />
Poole.<br />
