<strong>City</strong> Attorney<br />

During this period, the <strong>City</strong> Attorney’s <strong>of</strong>fice processed 56 ordinance violations for a year-to-date<br />

total <strong>of</strong> 1720.<br />

On October 15, the <strong>City</strong> Attorney met with other staff to discuss storm water issues.<br />

On October 17, the <strong>City</strong> Attorney participated in a League <strong>of</strong> Nebraska Municipalities Attorney’s<br />

Subcommittee conference call to discuss possible 2013 legislation.<br />

On October 18, the <strong>City</strong> Attorney met with other staff to discuss the small claims suit filed against<br />

the <strong>City</strong> by U.S.D., L.L.C. d/b/a Jet Wash.<br />

On October 18, the <strong>City</strong> Attorney met with other staff to discuss economic development.<br />

On October 23, the <strong>City</strong> Attorney met with other staff to discuss Woodl<strong>and</strong> Park sewer issues.<br />

On October 24, the <strong>City</strong> Attorney met with a <strong>City</strong> <strong>Council</strong> Subcommittee <strong>and</strong> other staff to discuss<br />

Woodl<strong>and</strong> Park sewer issues.<br />

On October 25, the <strong>City</strong> Attorney met with other staff to discuss storm water.<br />

During this period, the <strong>City</strong> Attorney’s <strong>of</strong>fice prepared an Agreement with Northeast Nebraska<br />

Beards <strong>and</strong> Spurs Chapter <strong>of</strong> the National Wild Turkey Federation for their use <strong>of</strong> the <strong>City</strong>’s<br />

auditorium for their annual fund raising banquet <strong>and</strong> Hunting Heritage Auction on February 2, 2013.<br />

During this period, the <strong>City</strong> Attorney’s <strong>of</strong>fice prepared an Agreement with Volo Disc Sports, Inc. for<br />

its use <strong>of</strong> the <strong>City</strong>’s disc golf courses in Ta-Ha-Zouka Park <strong>and</strong> Skyview Park to hold a disc golf<br />

tournament on April 27 <strong>and</strong> 28, 2013.<br />

During this period, the <strong>City</strong> Attorney’s <strong>of</strong>fice prepared an Ordinance amending Section 24-111 <strong>of</strong><br />

the Code to create a speed zone on 24 th Street from <strong>Norfolk</strong> Avenue to Taylor Avenue.<br />

During this period, the <strong>City</strong> Attorney’s <strong>of</strong>fice prepared an Ordinance amending Section 24-164 <strong>of</strong><br />

the Code to allow parking on a portion <strong>of</strong> West Omaha Avenue which is used as an access road to<br />

Vulcraft Division <strong>of</strong> Nucor Corporation.<br />

During this period, the <strong>City</strong> Attorney’s <strong>of</strong>fice prepared a Resolution related to the blighted <strong>and</strong><br />

subst<strong>and</strong>ard area referred to as the Southeast Corner <strong>of</strong> 13 th Street <strong>and</strong> Omaha Avenue. The<br />

Resolution rescinds Resolution No. 2012-42 due to an incorrect legal description, approves a new<br />

resolution with the correct legal description declaring the area as blighted <strong>and</strong> subst<strong>and</strong>ard, changes<br />

the reference name for the area from “Ramada Area” to “Southeast Corner <strong>of</strong> 13 th Street <strong>and</strong> Omaha<br />

Avenue”, <strong>and</strong> resolves that any redevelopment plans presented to the <strong>City</strong> for the blighted <strong>and</strong><br />

subst<strong>and</strong>ard area shall comply with the general concept shown on a depiction attached to the<br />

Resolution.
