Gallery 35 is a new venture in Cranbrook,
showcasing a variety of local and affordable
art, from paintings, to jewellery, to ceramics.
We are a gallery and
artists’ hub which aims
to bring the creative
community together
with coffee mornings, artist talks,
workshops, and demonstrations.
Shirley Jenner is the Owner of Gallery
35. Having owned and rented out the
building of Gallery 35 for several years,
Shirley decided it was time to run
something for herself again, and since
she was always interested in art, Gallery
35 was born! As an avid painter and
seamstress, creativity is very important
to Shirley. In fact, some of her paintings
are on display in the gallery. If you get a
chance, do ask her about her paintings,
as she has special anecdotes for each one!
Polly Bennett is the Gallery Manager.
After spending eight years in London
studying Fine Art and Decorative
Surfaces at City & Guilds of London Art
School and working in the decorative
industry, Polly’s love of nature drew
her back to Kent. At Gallery 35, Polly
is excited to create a friendly, inviting
space for artists, makers and art-lovers
to meet. You might find her weaving
away or gilding on paper in the gallery.
Being an art teacher, she’s always thrilled
to demonstrate techniques, so don’t
hesitate to ask her any questions!
We welcome anyone and everyone
with a curiosity for the arts; whether
you’re in the mood for coffee
