What an honor it is to serve as President of this amazing school. With each passing day I<br />
experience first-hand what it means to be <strong>Dominican</strong> through conversations and interactions<br />
with our Sinsinawa Sisters, students, faculty members, past and present parents, alumni and<br />
foundation supporters. I continue to meet new people every day who believe in our mission<br />
and do all they can to assist us in carrying it forward.<br />
The purpose of this Honor Roll of Donors publication is to thank all who have chosen to<br />
support and assist us in carrying on our mission. <strong>Dominican</strong> has a proud history of providing<br />
academic excellence, promoting our Catholic heritage and Sinsinawa core values and<br />
supporting and celebrating the rich diversity that makes <strong>Dominican</strong> so distinct.<br />
The 2011-2012 year was filled with memorable moments and successful stories, all of which<br />
your generosity supported and enhanced. We celebrated a year which yielded a graduating<br />
class that went on to continue their education at highly prestigious universities, a state<br />
basketball title championship and award-winning theatre performances. Our rich custom<br />
of outreach and charity extended well beyond <strong>Whitefish</strong> <strong>Bay</strong>, giving our students firsthand<br />
experiences that not only affected them in the moment but provided them with the<br />
groundwork necessary to make a difference in this world. Our new partnership with the<br />
China-based company Cernet brought the welcome addition of 13 Chinese students to our<br />
<strong>Dominican</strong> school community, making our diversity extend farther than ever. <strong>Dominican</strong><br />
continues to be forward-thinking in every way that impacts the education and formation of<br />
our students.<br />
<strong>Dominican</strong> <strong>High</strong> <strong>School</strong> is successful because of you, your steadfast faith and consistent<br />
belief in all we do and what we strive to accomplish. As a non-profit institution, we know the<br />
multitude of important charities and worthy causes which vie for your financial support. It is<br />

At the end of the 2011-2012 school year <strong>Dominican</strong> <strong>High</strong><br />
<strong>School</strong>’s physics department received a $15,000 gift from<br />
the Alcy L. and Patrick H. Fass Charitable Trust; Jeremiah<br />
R. Fass, administrator; Matthew J. Linn, Attorney-at-Law,<br />
advisor; to be used by longtime physics teacher Patricia<br />
Ash.<br />
In Mrs. Ash’s physics class students are able to measure<br />
movement, temperature and pH using sensors however the<br />
computers connected to the sensors were outdated and<br />
didn’t record the data collected in an interactive or efficient<br />
manner. The donation received from the Alcy L. and<br />
Patrick H. Fass Charitable Trust was used to upgrade the<br />
computers and to purchase a new printer and interactive<br />
projector. Mrs. Ash believes that the new technology has<br />
improved her classroom as it “makes data collection more<br />
efficient and precise. Students can print graphs of the data<br />
and are involved and excited by the new technology.”<br />
Thank you to Jerry Fass, son of Alcy and Patrick for<br />
partnering with <strong>Dominican</strong> to make this much needed<br />

On October 5th students dressed in school colors and<br />
spiritwear and took to the streets walking a six mile loop<br />
around <strong>Whitefish</strong> <strong>Bay</strong> for <strong>Dominican</strong>’s annual Knightwalk<br />
fundraiser. Students collected pledges from family and<br />
friends to help raise funds for student activities such as<br />
theatre, sports, campus ministry, government, and fine<br />
arts. This year’s Knightwalk raised over $37,000. The top<br />
fundraiser was sophomore Steve Linn who collected over<br />
$5,000 in donations. Thank you to everyone who supported<br />
Knightwalk by donating, volunteering, or walking!<br />

Honor Roll – Alumni News<br />
Doris (Swick) Greenberg (‘66) is the Managing<br />
Partner of Dancers at Heart LLC created to produce<br />
and promote her debut novel, the first in the Dance<br />
Legacy Series, The Legend of L’Esprit. The novel,<br />
a haunting tale of love, tragedy and forgiveness, is<br />
the Winner of the 2012 National Indie Excellence<br />
Award for Young Adult Fiction and was co-written with<br />
fellow former dance teacher, Pandre’ Shandley. Doris<br />
recently celebrated her 45th wedding anniversary<br />
and enjoys reading, writing and playing with her 5<br />
amazing grandchildren.<br />
Dr. Joan Neuner ’86 was awarded a $200,000<br />
American Cancer Society and Kohl’s Care research<br />
grant. Dr. Neuner will be using the grant to study the<br />
adverse bony effects of breast cancer therapies.<br />
Nick Fehring ’96 and his family will be living in<br />
Singapore for the next couple of years. Nick is<br />
working for IBM as chief financial officer of their<br />
service business.<br />

Reunions 2012<br />
Five <strong>Dominican</strong> classes got together this summer to celebrate<br />
their class reunions. Thank you to all of the reunion chairs for<br />
planning their individual reunions and for all the alumni that<br />
made the trip back to DHS to celebrate.<br />
The following classes are celebrating reunions this year: 1963,<br />
1968, 1973, 1978, 1983, 1988, 1993, 1998, 2003 and 2008. If you<br />

First year Golf Coach Brett Krzykowski welcomed back a veteran team for a successful 2012 season.<br />
Sophomore Jack Murphy advanced into Regional play with strong performances at the end of year<br />
tournaments and Junior Martha Wong, playing against all males, won outright at earlier conference meets.<br />
Martha also notched her first hole in one at Brown Deer Golf Course during a practice round. The team<br />
returns with all varsity athletes for what should be a successful upcoming season.<br />
Boys Tennis was a competitive force in the 2012 season. Led by Frank Wong and<br />
Hunter Paykel, the Knights found successes throughout the season. The lone Senior<br />
Thomas Hertzfeld was able to improve on some personal bests and help Coach Rose set the<br />
platform for the 2013 team to build upon.

Bill Crowley Scholarship Golf Outing Scores for<br />
<strong>Dominican</strong>!<br />
The 29th Annual Bill Crowley Scholarship Golf Outing took place on Monday,<br />
August 20th at Ozaukee Country Club in Mequon, and brought in a recordbreaking<br />
$40,000.00! Proceeds benefit the<br />
Bill Crowley Scholarship fund which helps<br />
make a <strong>Dominican</strong> education available for<br />
students in need of financial assistance.<br />
The Crowley Golf Outing was started in 1984<br />
and has become a time-honored tradition<br />
for many DHS alums, families, and friends.<br />

golfers for helping to make this our most<br />
successful golf outing yet.<br />
