Proceeds from this Souvenir Booklet help support theHANNIBAL FOLKLIFE FESTIVAL and the:Tom & Becky ProgramThe Tom & Becky Program, sponsored by the Mark TwainBoyhood Home & Museum, was created in 1956 by theHannibal Chamber of Commerce. One boy and one girl areselected each year to serve as the official Tom & Beckywith four other couples serving as alternates. The2023-2024 Tom and Becky Goodwill Ambassadors are:Gabriel Dryden, Jonathan Fenton, Mason McIntyre, NathanTweedy and Kael Viehmann as Tom and Ella Bonvillian,Abigail Carlson, Adilynn Jacobsen, Darby Rollins, andNatalie Vandiver as Becky.The primary function of the program is to allow these young peopleto serve as goodwill ambassadors for Hannibal and to promotetourism. Those involved become familiar with Mark Twain, his lifeand his literature. It is hoped that long after their year is over, theseambassadors will remember the important part Mark Twain playedin American literature and gain personal strengths that will last alifetime.2
2023 POSTER IMAGEThe 2023 poster features an image of an original watercolor paintingtitled “Folklife Folk” by Hannibal artist Patricia Garey.
