For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.” James is the book of faith in action and the teachings of James could have been introduced to us any clearer. James (the brother of Jesus) gives us very practical advice when it comes to trusting in God. Don’t doubt what God can do, and stand firm in what you’re trusting in God for. Simple as that! This is how prayer works, trust that God hears what you are saying to him even if it doesn’t feel that way. This requires blocking out the voice of the enemy through speaking the word of God over it… even in your prayers. Today I challenge you to look for scripture that supports what you’re believing God for and the next time you start to doubt God, use those scriptures in your prayers replace to strengthen your faith. 32
