FAMAGUSTA,CYPRUS This project located in Cyprus,Famagusta,Kaleici.
There is an Commercial port next to it.Kaleici, is a castle
that was founded in 1496 by Venetians and has come to
this day as a historical monument. As for now, this area
is protected and a tourist attraction.
The design consists of a modular settlement with
reinforced concrete “ Mega-structure” platforms at different
heights rising from the sea, without filling the sea. It
follows an accessible path with wide ramps to different
heights. I aimed to create a contrast to the dominance of
reinforced concrete by creating spaces with steel construction
and glass. In addition to the port facilities of
the project, there is a lot of spaces that can be used as
Leisure facilites.
Although Famagusta is an coastal city, there is limited
access to the sea, so thanks to this project we created
oppurtunities to create seafront developements on the
surrounding seafront areas.
