After 10 years of design, production and distribution of third party brands in Australia<br />
with Hardcore Enterprises, the Hill brothers created a global boardsports brand of their<br />
own, first with shoes for skaters and surfers in the mid 1990s and then with clothing<br />
and skateboards for the broader market. Today, the same crew of skaters, surfers and<br />
snowboarders that started the Globe brand has grown to an international network of<br />

Our Season 2 / 24 collection features a series of rider-focused colorways with a focus on<br />
skate functionality & durability. Each rider sku brings a creative touch to the range. Val Bauer’s<br />
first rider sku leads the range with a luxurious black/blue leather Surplus. Sammy morphs the<br />
Holand cupsole into a uber durable skate monster. Christian’s take on the LAII forms a stylish<br />
nutmeg suede on a new vulcanised foxing wall, super wearable. Finishing the range with<br />
Austyn’s pro shoes; clean mono-colour skate specific suede uppers with a corded suede mid<br />

“I leant towards the Surplus silhouette as I felt it had the most potential to make something good looking and<br />
casual. I went for Leather as it’s important to me that the shoe lasts longer and looks even better when worn<br />
in… hence the bleeding black to blue feature as it wears in. The little angel featured throughout the shoe<br />
was drawn by one of my best friends and artist Delapaix, who’s been tattooing me a lot throughout the years<br />
- this particular angel I have tattooed on my back is paying hommage to my late grandmother. My ultimate<br />
goal was to design a shoe that I would be stoked to skate in everyday. Hope you like it!” – Val Bauer
