September 14, 1948 in Florence, SC to the late Hosea and Connie
Dease Jacobs. Patsy went to claim her place at her heavenly home on
Sunday, September 24, 2023 in Austin, TX.
Accepting the Lord as her Savior at an early age, Patricia grew up attending
services at Cumberland United Methodist Church with her family. She is an
Alumni of the class of 1966 at Wilson High School, in Florence, SC.
Patsy continued her academic studies at Paine College in Augusta, Ga, studying
education, where she met the love of her life and husband, late Robert Cleveland
Coleman. They wed in 1969, and went on to have 4 children (Timothy, Cherry,
Robert, and Larenda). Patsy enjoyed the simple things in life; God, family,
friends and reading. She loved to teach her grandchildren many different things
to include dance moves from “the good ole days”, baking her favorite desserts
and sewing. Her love, infectious laugh and witty personality is what will be
missed the most.
her husband, Rev. Robert C. Coleman, her infant son, Timothy Coleman,
The Broken Chain
We little knew that day,
God was going to call your name.
In life we loved you dearly,
In death, we do the same.
It broke our hearts to lose you.
You did not go alone.
For part of us went with you,
The day God called you home.
You left us beautiful memories,
Your love is still our guide.
And although we cannot see you,
You are always at our side.
Our family chain is broken,
And nothing seems the same,
But as God calls us one by one,
The chain will link again.
