<strong>Goldie</strong> in Thailand – <strong>Moving</strong> <strong>Forward</strong><br />
I need to be taught more about myself, and my<br />
wife and I have always gravitated to Thailand.<br />
We met in Shanghai, we were married here at<br />
Cherng Talay and we gravitated here together.<br />
David Bowie always told me that reinvention is<br />
everything.<br />
I like the fact that I can come here and not be<br />
recognised in that respect because 99.9% of<br />
people here don’t know me.<br />
I like the fact that I was able to start a new life –<br />
we have a beautiful house that we built from<br />
scratch with a painting studio and a recording<br />
studio.<br />
Everything is here, my paintings, my collection,<br />
my sneakers, it’s all here. It’s a nice place, we<br />
have a sea view and if we want the madness of<br />
Bangkok we can just jump on a plane.<br />
I also get to do lot of uninterrupted yoga and get<br />
my sweat on. I’m a bit of a hot yoga freak.<br />

<strong>Goldie</strong> in Birmingham – <strong>Looking</strong> <strong>Back</strong><br />
This shot is from the 'Clash of the Titans'<br />
event, organised in August 1985 in the<br />
Manzoni Gardens, Bull Ring, Birmingham.<br />
In the foreground is Brim Fuentes, a graffiti<br />
artist from New York, with Mr Riddles (Tony<br />
Morgan), a popper/locker from the UK.<br />
<strong>Goldie</strong>'s crew are on the scaffolding with<br />
their Art Freedom piece.<br />
Next is Brim’s work; then Bio's (New York);<br />
and at the far end Bristol's 3D and Z Boys’<br />
painting 'Justice for All' featuring a Judge<br />
Dredd character.<br />
The whole event was filmed by Dick<br />
Fontaine and Gus Coral for the documentary<br />
Bombin', which was shown on Channel 4 in<br />
January 1988.<br />
A shorter version was later shown on Central<br />
TV.<br />
