This course has been designed for those with an intermediate level of knowledge in veterinary<br />
abdominal ultrasound. It is the ideal follow-on course from the two-day introductory course.<br />
You will review machine set up and learn how to recognise common artefacts, how to perform<br />
a basic Doppler examination and consider the ultrasonographic appearance of various common<br />
abnormalities. Case-based examples will help you consolidate your knowledge and the highly<br />
practical nature of the course will enable you to improve your technique rapidly. Ultrasound-guided<br />
biopsy and aspiration techniques will be taught.<br />

This course is ideal for those veterinary surgeons who are familiar with abdominal ultrasound,<br />
use this diagnostic aid regularly in practice and are ready to perform some more challenging<br />
examinations. You will be taught various techniques to identify the pancreas, adrenal glands,<br />
peritoneum and medial iliac lymph nodes. You will have ample opportunity to practise the use of<br />
Doppler for examination of larger blood vessels. Case-based examples will help you consolidate your<br />
knowledge of the topics covered.<br />
