LIGHT IS OUR
VISION
Johann Findl first opened the doors to PLANLICHT in his garage in Vomperbach,
Tyrol in 1986. What started as a brilliant idea was the beginning of an incomparable
journey that continues to this day.
In 1989, a vision emerged from humble beginnings – not just to sell lighting, but to
create it. The workbench became a crucible of creativity and every product bore the
signature of innovation and quality.
Since that time, PLANLICHT has grown steadily, always remaining true to its promise
of delivering the best customised lighting solutions.
Today, PLANLICHT is a multi-faceted company in the lighting industry with around
150 employees and an annual turnover of approximately 24 million euros.
The company serves strategic markets in Europe and exports products worldwide.

Our expertise in Human Centric Lighting (HCL) focuses on individual needs. For us,
light is more than just brightness – it follows the natural rhythm of the day:
it stimulates in the morning, supports during the day and soothes in the evening.
Our intelligent lighting solutions adapt to every situation with variable illuminance
and colour temperature.
As industry pioneers, we have equipped all our products with HCL functionality.
The benefits of this technology have been scientifically proven to improve
concentration and well-being.
At our headquarters in Tyrol, Austria, we also produce acoustic lighting that utilises
natural absorbent materials such as hay and sheep's wool to filter out ambient
noise. This transforms open-plan offices, for example, into peaceful working
environments.

The CO2-reduced production facility PLANFACTORY in
Murau/Styria, operational since the beginning of 2023, is
our expert in metal processing and our commitment to
sustainable manufacturing of quality products in Austria.
Since 2020, CARE BY LIGHT, in cooperation with the
MCI Management Center Innsbruck, has been developing
disinfection devices based on UV-C technology that
thoroughly clean objects and room air without leaving
any residue.
ALMUT from Wildheim is a Tyrolean start-up in which
PLANLICHT has been involved since 2021. The handmade
luminaires made of natural materials, inspired by the
Tyrolean mountains, create a special atmosphere.
