Live Healthy Northwest Iowa, a 10-week health challenge, started in 2006 to get people motivated to lose weight and get fit. Participants form teams to compete in either the weightloss division, activity minutes division or both. Weight-loss division team winners are determined by total percentage weight loss of the entire team. Activity minutes team winners are determined based on the average number of minutes exercised by members of each team. However, activity minutes cannot include time spent in a normal workday.
