The Osceola County Engineer’s Office will be accepting applications through<br />
4:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 16, 2024 for the above position. Applications<br />
may be obtained at the Osceola County Engineer’s Office (712-754-2303) or online<br />
at www.osceolacountyia.gov/departments/engineer/<br />
Applicant shall be at least 18 years of age with a valid Iowa Driver License and provide proof of<br />
insurance. Prior experience in construction and operating equipment is desirable. A valid Class<br />
A CDL is required. The county can provide a forgivable loan for CDL training. Work hours may<br />
be more than 8 hours per day, dependent upon work needs and season. Primary duties include<br />
assisting the mechanic with general equipment maintenance and operating a maintainer for snow<br />
removal. Position can also be tasked with mowing, spraying, hauling gravel, laying road pipe,<br />
crack sealing, and patching roads. Must be able to negotiate uneven terrain and lift 60 pounds.<br />
The position is subject to Federal Drug and Alcohol Testing and a pre-employment physical.<br />
