Cathy Scott<br />
Associate Professor, University of North Texas at Dallas School of Business<br />
Dr. Cathy Scott is an Associate Professor of Business Accounting and the Dealership Management/MBA/Master of<br />
Management <strong>Program</strong> Coordinator/Advisor in the School of Business at UNT Dallas. Dr. Scott is passionate about<br />
improving accounting education and providing an inclusive classroom for students. She has published and presented<br />
numerous times about emerging technologies, effective use of technology in education, improving online learning,<br />
engaging students through active learning, data analytics and bridging the accounting education pipeline. Dr. Scott<br />
is also the author of two college accounting textbooks and the co-founder of TeachingAndLearningToolbox.com, a<br />
website and blog that links technology to pedagogy. In addition, Dr. Scott is the recipient of several teaching and<br />
research innovation awards, including the American Accounting Association/EY Foundation Innovation in Education<br />
Award, the Bea Sanders/AICPA Teaching Innovative Award and the American Accounting Association/J. Michael and<br />
Mary Anne Cook/Deloitte Foundation Prize, which is the foremost recognition of superior teachers in the<br />
accounting discipline.<br />
Richard Strong<br />
Lecturer, University of North Texas at Dallas School of Liberal Arts and Sciences<br />
Richard Strong spent most of his childhood as a working musician before finding broadcast news in college. Since<br />
then, he has anchored and reported news for radio and TV stations in Milwaukee, Chicago and Denver. Eventually,<br />
Strong returned to graduate school in Denver to pursue a career in higher education. He taught at Metropolitan State<br />
University of Denver and Southern Illinois University before joining UNT Dallas as a lecturer in Communication and<br />
Technology. In addition to teaching, Strong continues to pursue a career in voiceover and audio production, working<br />
with Amazon and Spotify. He believes in the importance of working in the business where he teaches.<br />
