Welcome
to our brochure of holidays and
short breaks on the UK waterways.
A boating holiday is the fastest way to a slower pace of life.
Progress is made at an unhurried rate, with the freedom to
cruise at your leisure between dawn and dusk, and moor
virtually anywhere you please with waterside pubs, villages,
towns, cities and historic treasures to visit. With over 200
boats at 14 start points throughout the UK, you have the
choice of over 1500 miles of waterways to explore.
This brochure is designed to help you through the many options
available, from the choice of where in the country you want to
cruise, through the details of each start base and then to the
layouts of the boats. In addition to the layout diagrams in this
brochure, internal photographs of every class of boat can be
viewed at www.ukboathire.com so you can really get a feel for the
boats before you book. If you are browsing the choices ‘on-line’
you can also check the availability of boats and make your
provisional reservation from the website. We strive to offer you
the highest standards of holiday experience and safety. As your
safety is important to us, our handovers have been audited and
approved by the British Marine Federation.
Staying on one of our boats compares to a holiday cottage, with
the added advantage that your holiday home can take you
wherever you want to go. With the simple controls, no experience
is necessary and as part of our service we will show you
everything you need to do with the boat and canals. We clean,
check and service the boats between every cruise to ensure that
they meet our rigorous standards, and are ready to welcome you
when you arrive at the start of your holiday. We are confident
your family or crew will never forget the fun of learning to handle
a narrowboat and the shared experience of working the locks.
We look forward to welcoming you aboard one of our boats for
your next boating holiday.
